We were seeking an exceptional Doberman Pincher, with excellent temperament around children, elderly, other canines, and cats. We clearly realize that the size and strength of a Doberman requires a lot of training, as we did with our previous Dobies. We found Sierra Dobie Farms (SierraDobieFarms.com} on the web and liked what we saw, so I called Steve Pereira. It was quickly evident that he was very knowledgeable with regard to all things Doberman. He explained their policies, provided numerous photos and videos, and he and his associates assisted us in our selection. They provided in-person training upon delivery, with regard to posting the ears so that they will stand, as well as a complete kit of everything we needed, including puppy food, a collar, and a leash! We had a few difficulties becoming adept with some of the necessary tasks, and they made themselves more available and helpful than we have ever experienced from any other breeder. I realize people have a variety of experiences - but I'm telling you - this facility and the owners are stellar in their approach to pet care. Because of our experience in the dog industry working with trainers and test facilities, I've worked with many trainers and kennel owners. I could not get over how clean and how prepared Mill Creek was overall. You can tell a lot about a person's heart for their calling, and when you enter into their facility you know instantly "these people care about what they do." However, it was in the actual thoroughness of the care that impressed me most. Mike and Shirley Simmons kept our prized Black Lab female for over a week. They took her to the vet, sent me texts or called me every time something needed to be talked through, and even went so far as to document each day's journal of what was done both with the female and the stud. I've never used them for training, as I do my own for the most part; however, I can tell you, just from my long experience with trainers, Mike Simmons knows his craft and he knows it well. I know that some customers are very hard to please, so sometimes reviews get left that are less than positive. For our family, Mill Creek went far beyond what was expected!

Paperwork was signed saying that the dog would be taken to the vet in the event he became sick. When a friend volunteered to watch my dog, I had her get him from the kennel. She was shocked and disgusted when she got the dog. My 75 lb dog had his ribs and spine showing and had sores and bald spots. He was also throwing up, had diahrrea and couldn't eat. An immediate vet visit revealed that my dog had lost 20 lbs and had a virus. Within days, my dog was eating normally and gaining weight under my friend's care. When I tried to contact the kennel, the owner chewed me out and told me that the dog was perfectly healthy. He wouldn't even let me speak and hung up on me.
