The Gosling is a stand alone home across from the main house, with a bedroom/bath upstairs and down, as well as a fridge and living space on each floor. The bedding was good quality, beds comfortable, and quaint setting. It was nice to have a breakfast box delivered each morning: coffee, muffins (even GF option), yogurt, hard-boiled eggs. Easy walking distance to a handful of restaurants. The only slight negatives were that sitting area furniture wasn't the most comfy and the sound travels easily between floors (to be expected considering the property). Overall a great place to stay while taking in the beautiful surroundings and puffins!

Really charming and cozy, clean and beautiful decoration. Breakfast is brought to your suite in the morning in a wood crate , so lovely. The cottage is located perfectly so you can walk into town and sample the delights of Bonavista. The staff were super friendly and helpful with arrangements and suggestions. I wanted to post two reviews but that seems not possible as we stayed in another suite for an additional night. We stayed in the loft which is all of the above but more spacious. We tried to stay an additional night here but it was all booked up .... I guess because its so lovely !!!

It sits right in the heart of the village, offering stunning panoramic views of the water where you can regularly watch whales playing right from the windows and just a one-minute walk from the Dildo Brewing Co. right across the street. We stayed here for one night on our way back to St. John's after exploring the west coast of NL, and it was the perfect place to unwind. The house is made up of several rooms and guests get to use the common area in addition to their rooms. The rooms are a bit tiny compared to the modern hotel rooms but for a historic house, one can't complain. The house also has laundry for the guests and a patio where one can enjoy the sunset from a comfortable chair. The highlight of our stay here was breakfast in the common area, where we met a wonderful group of fellow travelers. We ended up in an amazing conversation with a couple who have been married for 54 years and were traveling the coast on a bike! They even shared some fantastic, practical tips for a happy marriage - a story for another day. All in all, a fantastic, heartwarming place to experience the best of Newfoundland hospitality!

I stayed in a room on the second floor with a queen bed. It was a bit on the smaller end but it has everything you'd need. The bed itself was okay. My only issue with the room was the lack of air conditioning. If you prefer your rooms to be warm then you'll find it comfortable. Even though it was cool outside, the room was good at retaining heat. Needless to say, the ceiling fan and extra desk fan stayed on the entire night. Bathroom was a bit small but water pressure and temperature were good. The wifi was pretty good. It was reliable and while I didn't try using Netflix, it was consistently fast. The breakfast was okay on both days. On the first day we had scrambled eggs with bacon. On the second day we had French toast. There's also oatmeal, cereal and breads available beside the dining room. Coffee or tea and orange juice is also included. Overall it's a decent B&B that's somewhere between 3.5-4 stars.

I took the non refundable booking, never expecting a worldwide pandemic to hit. Although NO tourists from outside the Atlantic provinces were allowed to stay in hotels, this establishment still billed me the full amount for 4 nights and refused to provide a refund based on the fact that they could not legally provide the service they were charging me for. VERY Dishonest. DO not book this establishment. They obviously are too inflexible to provide a good stay. Also found out the "breakfast" part of the B&B is continental style left in a common room. The home is ocean front, great to sit on the porch, have some wine and watch and listen to the waves coming in and watch wildlife. We opted to stay for dinner where Lynne cooked us a delicious meal that included blissful apple& root vegetable soup, fresh warm bread, tender pork loin, salt water cod with a crumble of feta and some kind of amazing dressing, vegetable and potato side. Desert what hot sticky toffee pudding that was delicious as well. Everything is made from scratch and you get a great individualized experience. We reserved dinner late and they were able to accommodate us. We also had breakfast which was a mushroom and cheese omelette with bruschetta topping. Homemade granola fruit and yoghurt and she also had on the table homemade honey made with cloves and rose water, homemade raspberry jam & fresh baked muffins. All in all we had a wonderful experience and so happy that we stopped in Harbour Grace to visit this authentic and unique B&B.

We had traditional breakfast: eggs, sausage, potatoes, beans, and coffee and juice. the highlight was the toutons, pan fried dough with molasses. You have to try them!!! Our room overlooked the harbor. The Inn is. beautifully restored, with modern bathroom, great wifi, great bed. A real find. You can see the investments by the community in restoring the story of the town and its people.
