Today, I had occasion to be passing Frackville along the I-81 corridor and decided to see whether, by chance, the restaurant was still there. To my good fortune, it was! The food was just as I remembered it, the owners absolutely pleasant and the overall experience nothing short of wonderful! It felt more like visiting family than dining at a restaurant! Although I've enjoyed pasta dishes at OIP in the past, today I tried something new - an eggplant sandwich, sans the tomato sauce. I was a bit leery at first, but the owner convinceed me that it was a unique departure from the traditional tomato sauce and that many of their customers liked it. I tried it, I loved it! Breaded/fried eggplant with melted cheese (provolone?), on a fresh baked roll, topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and Italian dressing. Mama mia! It was delicious. Their bread is all baked on premise and it sure tastes it! I could have feasted on the bread with butter alone! Just minutes off I-81, it is most definitely worth a visit. The folks are great, the prices very reasonable. Buon appetito, a tutti voi!

The Pizza Place is not only one of the best pizza places that I have tried, it has the best customer service that I have seen in the area. My wife and I were married at Mountain Valley Golf Course and wanted to have pizza delivered to our guests following the wedding. The owner, John, was extremely helpful as he delivered our pizza after being closed and even stayed to make sure our pizza was hot. The pizza was phenomenal. The plain, sweet sauce, pickle pizza, Buffalo chicken and chicken bacon ranch were all fresh and delicious. Our guests RAVED about the pizza and continuously asked us where we got it from. Additionally, the cheesy bread sticks and bread sticks were great. John and The Pizza Place truly care about their customers and their pizza is clearly made with the freshest ingredients. Best Pizza Place by far in Frackville. Lived in Frackville over 10 years and never tried because it was small. I should have remembered the Best come in small pkgs. They are very Good. Delivery was fast and Pizza was HOT. Flavor was really fresh. They have daily specials and was pleasantly surprised at the prices. Pizza quickly reheated from a very matter of fact man behind the counter. Within a minute our pizza was heated, placed on paper plates and paid for. Found a table in the pick up area. Pizza slices were huge. One slice was more than enough for me. I have to say, the plain cheese was probably some of the best I've ever had (which is bizarre considering it was reheated). The crust perfectly thin, NY style. Sauce balanced that just added some flavor to the crust. Perfect amount of cheese that had just the right amount of grease! My husband's Buffalo had a really good flavor but had a touch to much sauce. When taking a bite the sauce oozed out and it was very spicy. If it would have had a little less sauce my review would have been five star. Bathrooms in need of attendance but again this place was extremely busy. Would love to stop by again for another slice today. A very affordable dining option for us. $13 for 3 slices and a large fountain beverage to share. A gentleman a few tables down had a cheesesteak and fries, again both looked above average. Ambiance was basically cafeteria style at the pizza counter, nothing special and I can't vouch for the actual sit down restaurant.
