A dwarf star of excellence? A teacup elephant of professionalism? A SmartCar of happiness? Well, she is all those things and more. Lindsay was one of two photographers we hired to shoot our wedding. We had seen her work before, and were captivated by her detail work and wonderful compositions. Since we were doing a very small 'pop-up' style wedding, we knew we wanted someone who would not only be able to capture the short ceremony, but also the entire day surrounding it as we traveled from the hotel to meet our family, and all left together for the reception dinner. Her images could not have been any better. The sheer joy of the day, and our love for each other was perfectly translated from 3 to 2 dimensions. In fact, we loved her work so much that we approached her again a year later, as we prepared for the birth of our son. I'll let her images speak for themselves in this link to her blog post: http://lindsaydocherty.com/philadelphia-birth-and-newborn-photographer-lewis/ If that doesn't convince you - nothing will. So I guess I could have saved myself a lot of writing and you a lot of reading had I just filled the text box with these two words: She's amazing.

Of all the hundreds of decisions involved in planning my wedding, choosing Devon was the easiest,…read moreand the one that I continue to be thankful for nearly every day. The day of the wedding Devon was a calming force: super relaxed, able to herd my raucous bridal party, and always having an answer to my questions. Every moment of the wedding was captured, from extended family portraits to a quiet moment shared between my husband and I at the reception; yet Devon and her team felt nearly invisible- never pushy, always just capturing the event happening around them. I'm super proud of my wedding pictures, mostly because they capture exactly how I felt on that day- joyous, excited, filled with love for everyone around me. I don't know that anyone but Devon would have been able to capture that feeling. I know I'm still going to be in love with these pictures when I'm old and grey. I can't recommend Devon enough.

Devon was all we could of asked for in a photographer; professional, engaging, and her laid back nature and free form shooting really put our wedding party at ease. My husband was typical of most grooms in that he didn't want to spend hours on end posing for shots; Devon was respectful of that and worked in some amazing photos in the hour and 1/2 before our ceremony started. Devon and her assistant Bonnie were in the background during our ceremony and reception in the best way possible; not at all intrusive to the point that we forgot we were being photographed! In my opinion, that was a great thing!

I was thrilled to find someone experienced in city hall weddings. Tom knows his way around the Philly city hall very well. He knows all the spots and angles, and if i hadn't been half an hour late for my 2 hr appointment (blaming it on the pouring rain/highway traffic) he was planning on going to a beautiful park nearby for more pictures. we got solid 90 minutes of pictures. my friend took pictures from the same angles and we saw those pictures immediately and thought they turned out really well - until we saw the professionally edited ones!

He discussed with the couple and was happy to work with their plans and what they did and didn't want, and very thoughtful about the photography options with great suggestions. He was a super nice guy as well. The day of the event he was professional, very flexible in the face of lots of cooks in the kitchen, clearly knew what he was doing, and really nice to work with. He knew how to compose shots and make them look great. But most important, the pictures came out wonderful! Finally, his fee was completely reasonable and appropriate to the occasion (unlike other photographers we contacted who said they had a minimum wedding fee whether or not it was a large, standard wedding event). I would say he exceeded expectations, and made it a super comfortable low-stress process. I would 100% hire him again!

From the first time we sat with Nicole, I knew that she was an addition we wanted for our special day. Nicole basically serves as a day-of-coordinator with the detailed timeline she puts together for the day (sorry I deviated from it sometimes LOL). Nicole has the best personality and the ability to get a group to focus so pictures can be completed efficiently! Our parents and bridal party loved her and her second shooter, Mel. Nicole was also open to suggestions throughout the day if I felt like I wanted a specific photo in the moment. We received SO MANY photos back with our full album, each one better than the next, making it so difficult to choose a photo for our canvas and pick our album! Thank you Nicole for making what can be a stressful process so seamless with your knowledge, poise, and flexibility. I would hands down choose you again if I could to be apart of our special day. She is patient and understanding and knows how crazy it can be when kids get tired or rambunctious. She can do multiple locations for photo shoots - just recently we did the beach for some pics and then headed to Sunset Park to use as another location. In years past we used the lighthouse.
