The store and the people who work there are a nice breather from big box stores. Always helpful, always considerate. The thing that discourages me from coming more frequently is the absence of a variety of lizard and fish tank decor, and the fact that any fish I've ordered from this store ends up dead in a week. That and the fact that at times in the fish area there are dead fish on the floor in the back. Any fish I've bought straight out of their tanks does ok, with a few exceptions. But wherever they're ordering fish from for special orders either really sucks or the shop itself isn't doing something crucial before they're handed off to the customer. I've lost fish on 3 different orders now and will not be ordering fish from here again. I would consider buying plants or fish straight from the tank on a limited basis. read more

The staff is always super helpful, happy, and friendly. They usually are going above and beyond to be helpful. They have the largest variety of of fish in town. Their supplies are usually up to par every week. Their prices are also very reasonable! The best part is that it's a locally own pet store, which is hard to come by. This is a REAL pet store with kindhearted and compassionate people who truly love animals. We had a 40 gallon fish tank that had been through one-too-many-moves and finally sprung a leak. We had one surviving Oscar and didn't know what to do with him. I called a few different places and they wouldn't take the fish, but multiple people referred us to Pet Zone on Jewella. So the recommendations from competitive pet stores around town are what really speak the truth about how amazing this place is! They were so nice to take in our family fish and really saved the day. I highly recommend checking them out because they have birds, fish, turtles, snakes, bunnies, and cat/dog supplies and a really nice staff who truly cares! read more

I called Epic Aquaria and this guy was just as great and immediately gave me "Raymond" at Pet Zone. With fact their is a relationship and great coms about fish ... I found this store to be great. This is the Only store in our area that carries collars for large dogs. My Chesapeake needed a 28"-29" collar. It needed a metal buckle, not a plastic one. My dog is very well trained but at 130 Lbs. I do not want to take a chance of him snapping the closure, for his safety. I found a very reasonably priced leather collar here after checking all other options, online and area stores. read more

I went to this location yesterday to buy a scorpin. They folks welcome you there as soon as you walk. in the door. they carry many different species of exotic animals along with your traditional pets. my only complaint is that there is not many different products for the reptiles. other then that i was pleased with my service with them.
