When I went to pick up my animal, his food was thrown in his carrier, and also his toys and blanket And he was covered in white specs. When I was calling because I had concerned because my animal was bleeding a little bit when we got home they told me it is not their problem once I pick up my animal word from word. Just hoping the procedure went well. Not trying to be a Karen but I was very uncomfortable with the staff there.

I asked why I was not told she needed the injection 2 days earlier when my dog visited the vet. Shoulder shrug "we require it". This has happened before. Communication issues, monetized services of UVH vets and an "I don't care" attitude at unleashed. Full details below, but the worst was: * kenneling my 6' Great Dane in a 3x5 kennel for weeks, while adamantly reassuring me he was happy, healthy, and in a kennel "plenty large enough for him". * being angrily berated by Dr. Colvin, while closed off in a small patient room without additional staff or witnesses. This felt very threatening and honestly quite scary. - Service: Aural hematoma surgery and boarding for my Great Dane - Total paid: $2,250.70 - Key issues: * Surgery failed -- hematoma recurred under their care. * Boarded in 3×5 kennel; tech admitted on the last day that kennel was too small and was the cause of the recurrence. * No post procedure pain meds or antibiotics until requested; outside vet confirmed they were medically needed. * Charged for flea meds on his last day, when he was current on Bravetco and had a seresto collar; charged for an e‑collar that was not not provided. * Dog returned with paw sores from kennels and improper hematoma bandaging causing re‑bleeding. * Dr. Colvin emotionally berated me when I arrived to pick up requested antibiotics and pain meds - I attempted resolution privately; no response was received.

That's a horrible business practice and is why we left Cornerstone. If you want to recommend a rabies shot then, fine, recommend one. But if you just give our animal a rabies shot without having our permission you should be the ones paying for it because you never had our authorization to do so in the first place. Our animals are indoor-only. Not one has gotten out unless we wanted it to in more than 50 years, and the ones that did go out we did get rabies shots for. But our indoor-only animals do not need a rabies shot. This all seems like a blatant money grab when money is tight enough right now and vets are already too expensive.

I have never had better vet care than with Dr. Coker and her staff. Everyone on the team cares about your cats as if they were their own. A few years ago when I lived in San Antonio and one of my guys had bladder stones. No vet could figure out what was wrong with him, they chalked it up to Zero being a mental case. Fast forward to two years later, and several different vet visits later, with a move to Shreveport, Zero got so bad that I had to put him in emergency care over the weekend. When the cat doctor opened they saw him immediately and identified the problem. The team saved my kitty's life and he's been back to his loving self. Not only does the team satisfy cats health care needs but the clinic also has boarding available. My cats are old and set in their ways; however, it doesn't matter if they are there for a short or long stay they always enjoy their stay, are well taken care of, and come back so happy! And if you are a cat lover, you will also appreciate that the team has cats roaming all around the front part of the office.
