The bands are generally less famous than…read moreat the large, expensive festivals but I was happy as 1) the festival is completely free and 2) I got to see the Boomtown Rats, one of my favourite bands in my teen years! There are plenty of places to eat at the festival, and a bar )you aren't allowed to take your own booze and they check your bags and body search. Any booze found gets confiscated or you can't enter the festival). There is also a great vintage and craft goods tent. There are 2 stages, for different types of music, and another tent which has various other entertainment. Outside the festival there is a funfair. There is masses of parking on the site and that's completely free of charge too. The only thing that annoyed me was the amount of excessively drunk people, including people who are considerably old enough to know better!!

It's a tourist-centric experience in a country full of castles that may offer a more…read morehistory-focused and much less expensive day out. £24 a ticket, no matter the age and then and additional £6 to park...regardless of the time of day. If you enter at 4PM you get an hour of the place for that price. Listen, the Falconer's Quest (birds of prey show) is enjoyable - but is that alone worth the cost? Maybe. I will leave it up to you.

Great place to visit for something a bit more interesting for a Saturday out. There's a farm for…read morekids (and big kids) and some quaint little craft and jewellery shop. On arrival this time round there was a woman doing samples of sausages outside the farm shop (the bologonese sausage was delicious). We headed to the antiques shop and picked up three lovely items, of which we managed to haggle a discount and the man helped load things into the car. I have it on good authority the cafe there is lovely, as it's the place my mum stops for lunch on her cycling, and so will be back to try it soon.

Once they arrived they were acceptable…read more They failed to correctly write the clearly printed date from numerous e-mails in their diary correctly and therefore didn't arrive for my wedding on time! Refused to accept it was their own error until the e-mail trail was presented to them. The quartets "leader" was poorly mannered to my Father whilst discussing the issue and refused to give any worthwhile remuneration for this atrocious performance.
