She has separation anxiety and I was concerned she was not going to do very well being separated from us overnight. Bruce and his family did an amazing job with her! Totally, putting my nerves at ease. Communicating with us by text messages and sending photos throughout the day on how she was doing. I cannot say enough, how grateful we were to be kept informed. They are genuine, attentive, caring, professional and experienced. If I could rate them higher than a five. It would be "Out of the Ballpark". I highly recommend Bruce and his family at Kona Dog Care. Mahalo Bruce!

Drove an hour to get there but the vet didn't even try to open my dog mouth to inspect it. He said that my dog is not liking him open a mouth and he can't do much! I said he is in pain can you try again, no dog likes to open their mouth you need to just force it. My dog was not dangerous (20lb older scottie). But the vet said he can only prescribe a pain killer to numb the pain and that's all. I was pretty disappointed with lack of care to even attempt to inspect my pet. I drove an hour to see him for 5 min of his time and zero help! I am not going back there again.

This is a unique experience that is worth visiting if you are anywhere in driving distance -- and…read moreyou love cats. Kona Kat Cafe is nestled in the back of a strip mall. As soon as you get near, you'll see cats through the window. If you're going to - make a reservation. Once you're in, they will ask you to remove your shoes before entering the kitty area. That means wear socks. The cats are all friendly and used to being around people. So, relax and have some fun playing with them. Before you go in, you'll have the options to buy a bag of treats. The cats will be your BFF when they see the bag. I know the place serves food, but we didn't eat while there. Instead, we have treats to the kitties. I will wrap by saying this place really is fun if you like cats.

Lovely spot to visit in the heart of Kona. You can hang out in an enclosed room full of kittens!!…read moreThese cats are rescued from the island, as there is an overpopulation issue. It warms my heart to support a good initiative like that. There is a cute lobby, a transitionary room to keep the kitties from escaping, then you're in! There were maybe 3-4 adult cats and a dozen kittens roaming around. The older cats like pets while the kittens love to play. There is something for everyone! There are creative seats that keep you next to perches and cat trees so you can hang with the cats. It's a longer space, and the kitttens loved to zoom around! Toys and enrichment are everywhere! I loved chatting with the owner about her cafe! She was very kind and informative about her work. This experience made my day, and I would recommend supporting!

The humane society was closed on the day we found our sweet Bailey. Which I'm honestly really happy…read moreabout, I called Dustin because Bailey was covered in blood and fleas and I wasn't sure what to do, Dustin gave me some amazing advice and as soon as they closed he came over to my house and dropped off a flea pill. Bailey is a very timid boy and it was hard to get him out of the house. We fostered Bailey for about a month (we have no officially adopted him) and during that time Dustin came to my house twice to make sure Bailey had both his shots and microchip. The care and attentiveness that Dustin and his team of volunteers have shown goes unmatched. We will now be fostering some more doggies from them! Honestly, all you have to do is go look at their website and you'll see the love that Dustin has for those animals. It's absolutely amazing, I wish there were more people like him and his team.
