I got a stress fracture in my foot back in late September 2016 due to overtrain and not taking care of myself. During recovery, I began to get treatment from Matt pretty regularly. I have since been getting regular treatment from Matt. I ran a 10k to get back into the game in late November and PR'd by 8 minutes and ran a half marathon in December just 2 minutes shy of my PR. Since then, I PR'd my marathon in April 2017 by over 20 minutes getting me close to a Boston Marathon qualifying time (I am a male and 23 y/o so its 3:05:00 or less). I am using a really tough training plan to train for the summer leading up to Chicago and Matt has been consistently working on me. My legs weren't recovering very well over the past 2 weeks until Matt worked on me. After just 2 sessions, I was able to run my long run Saturday afternoon/evening without pain for the first time in 2 weeks. I will continue receiving treatment from Matt for as long as I can. When I called in to make an appointment for the both of us, they only had one masseuse that performed the cupping so I let my husband have that appointment, and they let me do the hot bamboo instead of cupping. We arrived to our appointment and filled out the necessary paperwork, and were pretty much good to go. I wish I remembered the names of our masseuses but my husband had the male masseuse that does the cupping & a nice lady masseuse. Everything was lovely and wonderful for myself, and my husband was very happy when I saw him when were done. My husband has never had a male masseuse, I was wondering if it would be awkward but he said it wasn't and that is was amazing. He was strong and knew what muscles to work, and my husband said it was the best massage he has every had. Regarding the cupping, he didn't really care for it, but the massage was so awesome that he didn't care. We will definitely become regulars here, at least for monthly massages.
