The checkin was easy and quick. There were fresh baked cookies. Our room was clean and adequate. I was worried about noise from the highway but it was fine. The included breakfast buffett was more than adequate. Coffee was not quite strong enough for me. We would stay here again.

As someone who travels regionally for work on a weekly basis, I typically wait to book a hotel…read moreuntil I'm winding down my day and know where I'll be starting again the next morning. I almost always choose Marriott first, with Hilton brands as my second option. That said, I booked the Fairfield Inn Titusville Kennedy Space Center simply based on location--it was close to where I needed to be the next day and part of a hotel brand I've long trusted. When I pulled into the property, I noticed it was situated right off the highway among several other roadside options like Days Inn and other economy-tier stops. I was tired, but it was a Fairfield, and I expected it would meet my basic needs: a clean place to finish up work, hop on a conference call, and get a good night's rest. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I've come to expect from Marriott. Like I always do, I pulled back the sheets to check the cleanliness of the bed--something I've done habitually for years--and this time, I wasn't so lucky. When I lifted the fitted sheet, I found bugs. Horrified, I packed up immediately and called Bonvoy support, explaining the situation and requesting a refund. I also made it clear I didn't want to be double billed as I was leaving the hotel due to unsanitary conditions. Disappointingly, the Bonvoy representative apologized but informed me there was "nothing she could do" and that I had to handle it locally with the hotel. For someone who has been loyal to Marriott for years and is supposed to be a "valued" Bonvoy member, that response was incredibly disheartening. It felt like my loyalty didn't matter once an issue arose. It's easy to offer service when things go right, but it's how a brand manages the tough moments that truly defines customer experience--and Bonvoy completely missed the mark. Fortunately, the gentleman working the front desk at the Fairfield Inn was gracious, understanding, and clearly embarrassed. He handled the situation with professionalism and care. He immediately reversed the charge on my corporate card and even offered to help find me another hotel. While I had already secured a new room elsewhere, I thanked him sincerely--his response was exactly what I had hoped for from Marriott corporate. It's a shame he had to carry the weight of a failure that wasn't his alone. There were also some red flags I brushed off upon arrival that, in hindsight, were telling. For instance, the elevator call button didn't work. If you needed to use the elevator from the lobby, you had to notify the front desk so they could go into the control room and send it manually. From your room, you had to call down to have it summoned. While I personally don't mind stairs, I can recognize how inconvenient this would be for a guest with luggage or accessibility needs. In the end, while the front desk associate salvaged what could've been a total disaster, my confidence in the Marriott brand has taken a real hit. I expect better--not just from the rooms, but from the organization as a whole when it comes to supporting their customers in difficult moments.

I called twice to ask if it was ok to drop off welcome bags for them to hand out as guests arrive both a month before the wedding and the day before the wedding. Both managers told me no problem... we do this all the time. I dropped off 25 bags the day the guests arrived. The manager was kind and pleasant. Then 6 days later they billed the groom for $163.00. Charging him $5 per bag 22% gratuity and sales tax. We called to dispute the charge the manger was very rude, refused to work with me, threatened to Charge a member of the wedding parties credit card and then hung up on me. You can't charge people for something they asked about three times to two different managers, and no one told me our other witnesses there was a charge. Not even willing to reduce the charge. If they knew there was a charge, why did they let me leave the hotel without getting my credit card information or collecting a fee. They knew I wasn't staying there. It makes no sense. Don't book with them.

We were given a free appetizer in the attached restaurant and were promised IHG points, which we havent received yet. The next day, we asked for an upgraded room, and were given keys to an identical room. However, everything was remedied. Devin, who checked us in, was a trooper, and worked with us to get things right. There were a few problems, but Devin kept a winning attitude, and I would trust her with my next check ins, should we return to this location. The lobby was one of the nicest we've seen in a Holiday Inn. The rooms were quiet, the bed comfortable, the shower pressure was good and the mini refrigerator kept our drinks cold. The breakfast buffet in the attached restaurant was very good, Kudos to Dave for keeping the items fresh and delicious. Katie, Julie and Tara were great hosts, even though I observed them receiving very little appreciation. We visited the buffet every day of our stay. Too bad there wasn't a launch during our stay, because our room window faced Cape Canaveral.

The office is at the front of the property, in front of an independent restaurant in the same building. Motel rooms are in other buildings towards the back of the property. If you're in a first floor room you can park very near to your room. The breakfast room is adjacent to the pool and in yet another building. Our room was in the back of the last building. When we arrived at our room, we were surprised to see people sitting out back in indoor furniture and someone with a BBQ grill and charcoal. Later, we saw a group farther back from the building actively cooking. We could smell the smoke in our room. Our room was OK in that it was clean. The bed was comfortable. Fortunately, there was no carpet. We did hear noise from an adjoining room and from the room above, but it didn't last long. The faucet handles made creaky sounds when turned. There was a stall shower with a curtain, and plenty of hot water. The great BW Argan oil shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were in dispensers. The motel is located some distance inland from downtown Titusville. It's within easy waking distance of Waffle House and a few other places to eat. Breakfast was ok... pretty much the usual BW fare, with the addition of biscuits and gravy... which were pretty good. No, we wouldn't stay there again... but it worked out OK for our situation at the time.

Despite requesting room service twice, our room was never cleaned or refreshed. Cleanliness and maintenance were severely lacking. The bathtub had visible metal ring stains and looked dirty. Due to these poor conditions, I requested an early check-out and notified the front desk before noon as required. Although we checked out early, we were still charged for the night. When I raised this with the hotel manager, Sara, she was very rude and showed no concern for customer experience.
