Don't judge a book by its cover. From the street the Pasty Place is humble. The magic that happens inside is otherworldly. A hot, tasty 1 pound pasty baked to perfection with meat that looked like prime rib; definitely not ground beef. There is no inside dining or outside seating. We got simple directions to the racetrack park several blocks away. All we needed was a picnic table. The pasty was marvelous, so was the cole slaw. We went back to the shop and I told the owner how much we enjoyed her mastery of the pasty and I promised to write a review. read more

I've tried a few pasty shops around Butte, but never quite understood the attraction. Until now. The Pasty Place has the most flavorful of them all. The crust is delicious and the filling is savory. I'll be back! read more

Absolutely delicious , worth a drive from surrounding areas. Perfectly seasoned to eat alone, gravy takes it to next level. Owner couldn't be nicer, glad this tradition continues on. read more

Being a Butte kid now in MN I was sad the see Nancy pass. But the pasties live on and IMO the crust and overall pastie has been improved. Stopped in July and had a great convo and got some pasties. They are huge and very good read more

Nancy would be proud, the pasties are in my opinion the best in town. In the last two weeks I've tried them all and have to say The Pasty Place has the edge. We always went to Nancy's and the new owner seems to have taken it to a new level. Thanks for keeping it going! read more

Yesterday, I went in with my boyfriend wanting to give them another chance, and my matcha (as shown in my picture), was straight up milk. My boyfriend went to the counter and asked for extra matcha. They then proceeded to charge him for an entire drink, but ONLY gave us the matcha. lol... no milk, no ice, just matcha. But charged us full price. He also had ordered a latte with an extra shot that for a 12 oz cup, was super weak. We really want to support this place but they need to fix their ratios or something...
