Following is a review I posted for Dr. R. Lance Parker in June 2020. I am reposting it here out of grave concern for public safety. Below is my original post from June 2020: Dr. R. Lance Parker is unethical, incompetent, and biased at the least and is criminal at the most. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing although he professes to be a Christian on his website. I know what libel is and I do not ever want to slander anyone. I will only give facts (some of the many), in good faith, to prove that my statements about Dr. Parker are true. I am a retired elementary teacher and grandma, and have a deep love for children. I had the time to carefully read a 43 page document Dr. Parker gave to the court (during divorce proceedings) which was needed to keep children and the estranged wife safe from a man who was on a diversion for domestic battery. I was shocked and utterly outraged at what I read. Dr. Parker blatantly changed the testimony of a witness within his own document from a page at the front of the document to when he wrote the testimony in the summary section of his same document, and he gave this deceitful document to the court. He made the change in testimony on two different pages of the same document and then used the changed testimony to favor the estranged husband who had a diversion for domestic battery. This is criminal behavior. I don't know if Dr. Parker knew the man on diversion had around $50,000 from the recent sale of their house, but one would want to ask Dr. Parker what he was trying to gain by changing testimony from one page to another in a document so that it would favor the man who had lots of money to spend (after all, the estranged husband's attorney chose Dr. Parker to be the Limited Case Worker for this case). Also, in the summary section of the document, Dr. R. Lance Parker contradicted the estranged husband's testimony from the first pages of the document and also left out the battered wife's testimony (from the front of the document) in the summary section regarding a matter, and Dr. Parker used all of this to also deceitfully favor the estranged husband in his summary section. Dr. Parker was grossly and dangerously incompetent at the least in doing this. How could Dr. Parker get by with such blatant and hurtful misrepresentations? Dr. Parker knew that Judges would trust his "professionalism" enough that they would carefully read only his summary section, not suspecting that Dr. Parker would actually contradict and misrepresent the front pages of his 43 page document. Just as a doctor wrote in another (negative) review on Dr. Parker, Dr. Parker DOES charge $1000 an hour to testify in court to defend his recommendations to the court. And Dr. Parker was supposed to testify in court on behalf of this case, which terrorized the victim, but it never happened. It had been revealed to attorneys by this time that Dr. Parker's document had contradictions, changed testimony from one page to another within the document, biases, etc. Thankfully, the wise judge threw out significant recommendations that Dr. Parker made to the court which would have been a huge financial burden to the victim of domestic battery. And this potential financial burden, that Dr. Parker tried to inflict, only served to further terrorize the survivor of abuse. Dr. Parker professes to be a Christian. First Corinthians 5 from the Bible details how Christians are to respond to SELF-PROCLAIMED Christians who behave as he has in this case. God answered prayers to protect the fatherless in this case by giving the victimized family a wise and just judge. I am eternally grateful. What about Dr. Parker's next case though? How can a man who does this be trusted in anything he does? My fervent prayer is that more will be done to protect the public from him. read more

Desiderata Go Placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on neutral terms with any person. Speak any detail quietly and clearly: and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant: they too have their story. Avoid loud and obnoxious persons: they are vexatious to the spirit. if you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is: many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Anonymous read more

Lance Parker says he helps kids, but he does not. In a recent case, he missed information, accepted false outright lies as fact, and accused a patient of incest with a cousin because he wasn't listening to the patient. This information was then submitted to the courts as fact based on lies and and a terrible interpretation of reality. He is ruining lives! He is a TERRIBLE person, and must be stripped of his duties. read more

Initially, I…read morewas surprised as I had gone to two other nationally recognized ophthalmologists who specialized in LASIK and both told me I was a perfect candidate. Both of the other doctors missed that I had a history of severe dry eyes whereas Dr. Patel knew from just a 10 minute eye exam. I ended up getting PRK and on the day of my surgery, I was guided through all my questions, concerns, and given detailed instructions on what to do post surgery and what to expect during recovery. The surgery was surprisingly quick and painless. I was given a goodie bag with drops and lubricant. I followed the directions (use the lubricant liberally!) and although the first couple days were painful and I mostly slept, I could see decently in about a week and almost perfectly within 2-3 weeks. It's been nearly a year from my surgery and I can't begin to tell you much my life has improved without glasses. I'm so glad I listened to Dr. Patel's advice for PRK because even though the recovery time was longer, I have zero issues with dry eyes. I've never felt more appreciated and cared for at any other doctor's office than at WVI.
