I was actually pleasantly surprised at how quickly she transitioned to the new school. We really love the staff, both teachers and administrators. They are sweet people always smiling and ready to help, they are also very professional. I am especially grateful that kids don't have to be potty trained, she is 3 and still having some accidents, but there's no pressure. It's a good learning environment in many ways. We also love the outside area, it has a good size playground. My daughter loves, loves, loves to swing. The site is very secure and clean. I love that they pray with the kids, and learn from the Bible. My son is at Anthem Christian School next door and it's very convenient to drop them off together! Plus once my baby is two I can take her to daycare here too, again avoiding extra hassle. And there's a sibling discount. We are very happy with both schools.

My little one attended this preschool and we had an extremely negative experience. A teacher could not leave at any point without being out of ratio, which is very concerning given how young the kids are. (Example: a toddler who was already potty trained asked to go potty and was told they put a pull up on her so they didn't need to take her and put them out of ratio) The teacher for the 2 year olds seemed very dry and gave very little verbal praise during activities. Nothing about the instruction or preschool aspect of it seemed to be very stimulating. (no singing or excitement) In addition, the toys outside were mostly either very dirty or just broken, even right at the beginning of the day. Teachers didn't play games or interact with children unless it was for help or cry. Granted what they charge a week, this place is 100% not worth it.

I have a million terrible things to say about this place. And while I could, I will only say this…read more Barbara cancelled my childcare with less than a weeks notice. She said she was no longer watching infants, but my child is 18 months old and is a toddler. She closes MANY days and even takes a vacation and requires you to pay. When the school districts close for weather she closed with little to no notice, despite not being anywhere near flooding or having any loss of electricity. Don't send your children here. She is rude and condescending. Heather her adult daughter was always sweet and my daughter will miss her. I will gladly never see Barbara's bitter scowl again.

We have been at A Happy Daycare for 3 and half years now…read more Our oldest started there in 2021 when she was 2 years old. She loved going and came back every day very excited and happy. Heather creates fun age related educational activities for the kids and by the time she went to TK she already had such great letter and number recognition that it helped her to thrive and adapt very well to a bigger school and she was well on her way to reading and writing. She still talks about her friends and the fun she had from her time there. They also do fun themes for every season and do arts and crafts and stories around those themes, keeping the kids engaged so every day is not the same. Both my kids have loved when they do garden themed activities, planting sunflowers or pumpkins that they watch grow) Our youngest started when she was under a year old. She is still really enjoying her time there and did from the start. She never seemed upset to be dropped off when she was very little and was very happy every day at pick up. She is almost 3 now and loves it so much that she wants to go even on weekends. They are very convenient for year round working parents as they are rarely closed outside of public holidays(they take only a few days off a year and give very advance notice so you can plan ahead if you need find other care). They also don't have a strict drop off time which I really appreciate for the days I need to bring my kids in around 10 instead of early morning. My kids have always felt safe and comfortable there. I highly recommend them and I am so happy we ended up here when we initially started search for childcare 3 years ago. Our time so far has been amazing!

I went to Lutheran Church of Our Savior last Sunday. The service was a traditional Christain…read moreservice, which I enjoyed - no TV viewing or loud band. I was handed a pamphlet with the church information, service agenda, bible's readings, etc when I arrived. One of my favorite part of the service, was when the pastor, Rev. Scott Klemsz, asked the children to sit in front of the alter area and discuss the reading of the day. Kids can come up with most interesting unique questions and Rev Scott answered them all; in a way, that they can understand. During Communion, there is a choice to drink the sacramental wine from the communion goblet or individual cups. The members of the church were very nice to me. A couple of the members introduced themselves and invited me for coffee and treats after the service. I felt welcome. If you are looking for a Lutheran Church or want to open your spirit to something new and/or traditional, Lutheran Church of Our Savior is a good place to go to. I copied the following from the Lutheran Church of Our Savior's website... Bringing Christ to the Coast We believe that the entire Bible is God's inspired and inerrant Word. Based on this understanding of the Word of God, we believe, teach, and confess that Jesus, the Son of God, is the Savior of the World; that He was born of a virgin; lived a perfect, sinless life; died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins; rose physically from the dead so that we might also rise in both body and soul; and that He lives today as the only Lord of all. The Lutheran Church of Our Savior is dedicated to meeting the needs of our community and the changing lives through Jesus Christ. We are Redeemed, Renewed, and Make Alive through the Divine Service which is God's Service to us. The Divine Service is the service in which God offers His free gift of forgiveness of sins to us, poor, needy sinners. We receive, by the Holy Spirit, faith in Jesus through Holy Baptism. That faith is strengthened through the hearing of God's Sacred Word and receiving His Holy Body and Blood through the Lord's Supper. In this same Divine Service we give thanks and sacrifice to God for these gifts. We do so with our prayers of thanksgiving and praise, with hymns of worship that proclaim His glory and with our offerings. In all of this we are part of the eternal Holy Christian Church. We are Redeemed, Renewed, and Make Alive in Christ by the grace of God, through faith in Jesus by His Holy Spirit. We celebrate this in our Divine Service as is has and will be done forever. Jesus has also called us to be His witness in spreading the gospel to all people and serving others as He did. As faithful Christians, we strive to bring Jesus to the Salinas Valley and the world. Our members come from throughout the Central Valley. Our Savior is affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) and millions of confessional Lutherans worldwide.

Scott Rocks! Thanks for the great times. Don't miss out!read more
