Kyle Dickey the owner was tasked to stain my existing cupboards the color cherry wood. I had a…read morecontractor do my bathroom cupboards a few years back that are the same wood and I totally love them. I let Kyle take a door off my bathroom cupboards to be able to have a comparison to match my kitchen cupboards to. At first, I was totally impressed as he was able to match my kitchen drawers perfectly (as in the first picture). Next he took all my cupboard doors home to paint over the weekend and bring back. That's when everything went south. I think he tried to hurry and get them done with slapping on the stain quick, rather than take his time. He brought them back the following Monday and they were darker than my drawers and existing boxes. As you can see in the pictures the background wood is the pretty cherry wood whereas the cupboard doors are dark and almost look like it was drawn on by a black marker. At first he seemed okay to work with and agreed to fix and repaint all the doors to match. He took them home again and when he brought them back he had repainted the backs but not the fronts. He said he was not redoing the fronts and that it would cost way to much money, even though he originally said he would fix and make it right. Also as part of the job, I wanted him to paint all kitchen walls and down my hallway. When they (him and his employee) started painting they moved my fridge and put a big scratch in my floor that I had newly installed. He said he would make an insurance claim to fix my floor. As of last week I messaged his business page to follow up and see where he wanted to go next and my message was blocked. I paid him $3,500 on the cupboards but only with the guarantee he would make it right. I have pictures for proof of messages where he states he'll repaint and fix them. Now he has left the job leaving me with unfinished cupboards, ruined kitchen floor, and puttied walls with no new paint. I now have this mess on my hands with having to hire someone new and pay tons more money to fix all his mistakes. My house is now worse off than before he started! I do NOT recommend hiring Dickeys Custom Painting, unless you want to be left high and dry with a house that is now worse off then when he started!

I had a specific paint color and quality in mind with a top to bottom painting project. I received multiple quote from licensed contractors and in the end Elevate offered me the quality, timeliness, and price I needed. The paint was on originally within a week for the entire job. We did have some difficulty with missed spots, drips, and overpaint. This was a bit frustrating as it took three revisits for the final outcome, but I must say that even with those revisits the job was completed very much to my liking, Greg made a revisit to help with the completion, and I am satisfied with having used their company and would recommend the final product.
