These guys were terrific. When i had a tech visit and work on an issue with Outlook in May the problem I had wanted addressed was not rectified and i was too busy to get back in touch with the team at the Original PC Doctor to get the problem addressed. Earlier this week - 6 weeks after the on site visit by the original tech i had a follow up call from The Original PC Doctor. I told them i was not satisfied with the tech that was provided. They totally got on board. There was a technican made available, instantly if i had wanted, but I took the option for a return call later on that day. I received the call at the designated time and the technician stayed on line untill every issue was resolved at no charge whatsoever. Not only was the replacement tech very knowledgeable...but super efficient; super friendly and had a great sense of humour. Thank you guys at the The Original PC Doctor... I would most certainly use the team at The Original PC Doctor again. Cheers from Melbourne read more

I felt very exploited. They had my computer for over a month, kept telling me there were additional things wrong with it. I paid extra with the guarantee it would be ready by a certain date, they did not do this (I needed it for work). I paid over $700... My advice - find out what is wrong with your computer, by the part yourself and fix it for more than half the cost and time! Or go to a local, smaller run computer business which is more invested in helping people rather than exploiting them. I think this business depends on the problem with your computer, obviously mine required a part so they couldn't fix it on the spot, so they began a ridiculous exploitation process with me. Extremely angry and unhappy with this service. read more

I used Original PC doctor to retrieve data from a failed USB drive. Never again!! They phoned a number of times wanting us to commit ourselves to engage their services - it was bordering on harassment. People phoning didn't seem to know someone else had phoned. We finally paid for retrieval and 2 weeks later collected the new thumb drive with our data. We were told we would have a password emailed to us. Two hours and 2 phone calls later they assured me they had emailed it to me ( yes I did check my junk email folder). During one phone call I waited for over 15 minutes for them to sort out their problems. The woman on the other end of the phone kept asking me who was at the front desk when I collected the thumb drive. I have no idea who it was as I didn't ask him his name! She asked me this a number of times and a number of times I had to say I didn't ask him his name. the password finally came through on an alternative email address. There was nothing wrong with the other address they had tried as I received at least 10 emails from other sources while waiting. I then asked for an official receipt of payment (from 2 weeks ago!) and was finally sent a screen shot of my job number. Definitely dodgy and would not be acceptable by the ATO. Have requested an official receipt again!!! read more

I would NOT use this company ever again, i was overcharged in my bill by my IT guy "steve" and when i called up to rectify my bill i was told i was in the wrong, and the company sided with the steve. despite having two witnesses and photographic evidence of my bill and the EXACT time it was taken which dramatically conflicted with the time the IT guy charged me for. i was not given a refund as of yet, i'm still fighting my bill to be rectified 3 weeks. not something you want to when they charge you $85 callout fee and $35 every 15 minutes. Thats almost $100 dollars of an overcharge spending an hour and a half trying to fix my computer, He couldn't fix the problem and suggested i reinstall windows. which was the reason why i called them, because i didn't want to start from scratch. if i wanted to i would of done that myself, i did build them computer in the first place.... so much for a "No fix no fee guarantee" or even a "Satisfaction Guarantee" as stated under their main website. read more

I also would NOT recommend this company. They advertise "no fix - no fee" if not able to repair your computer problem, yet once they have your money upfront you won't get it back. They were unable to fix our issue and then did not return our calls or emails and left us high and dry. Very unprofessional and unethical. read more

After trying a few different cables (and I'm not sure exactly how I managed to acquire them), I was forced to accept the inevitable. My phone had turned into an expensive brick. I checked into MKC in Melbourne's city centre after finding them online. My iPhone had stopped recognising when it was connected to recharge, so I took it in and was told it'd probably be either the battery itself or the dock that accommodates the cable. The conversation went like this: Me: Hello. My iPhone is a brick. MKC: What's wrong with it? Me: (Explained what was wrong with it). MKC: Oh. That'll probably be the battery or the cable dock. Me: Can you fix it? MKC: Probably. Give us an hour and $79. 60 minutes later, I was handed back a fully operational, functioning phone. Brilliant. Staff were friendly and straight-talking. I was happy with the price. I hope I don't have to visit again, but if things go sideways, MKC will be my first port of call.

I traveled to Melbourne on vacation and my Dell laptop went dark during my stay there. I brought…read moreit to OnTheGo. The tech 'Kevin' theoretically repaired it for $260Au, but after I left the country, it went dark again in 3weeks. When I returned to the States, the local repair place saw no signs of a repair, but replaced the motherboard and that fixed the problem for good (including 2 other nagging screen & mouse problems that didn't get fixed by Kevin). But that cost me another $185US. Obviously, I could not pay the expense of another plane ticket just to go back to Melbourne to have them repair it (especially at the risk of another failure), so I requested some remuneration for the repair here from OnTheGo owner 'Lawrence' via his WhatsApp and Line #s because he had a 3month warranty on the repair. It has been 3months and I received no reply (and we had communicated with these lines during the repair so I know he's listening). I consider his warranty and communication flaky if you go there for anything.

I was doing a bit of online housekeeping and managed to delete all my bookmarks, which I'm very dependent on. After spending 3 hours googling the problem with no success I called in the experts. And I'm so glad I did. Eugene from The Original PC Doctor was prompt, professional, friendly and fixed up the problem in no time. Plus, after he left I worked out there was a version issue so I rang again, not expecting much given I'd already signed off. However Eugene called and walked me through the second fix, which was above and beyond the call of duty, but much appreciated. I am writing to thank the Original PC Doctor for the great service I received from them this week. Kathy responded to my e-mail within 5 minutes and booked an appointment at my earliest convenience - the following morning. Joseph, the technician, came at the designated time and provided the necessary expertise politely and with a minimum of fuss. Gaye B Our experience with The Original PC Doctor was very positive. Sean was able to link into my computer and his knowledge of Apple Mac and Macbook Air enabled him to set up and link my computers. His help was invaluable to me as I run a Training Organisation and computer links with students are the business lifeline. I am most satisfied with the service I received from PC Doctor in general and from Steve in particular in restoring my laptop to working order after it was infected by a virus. Steve went the extra mile in this regard, painstakingly analysing and diagnosing the problems and finally setting everything right. Recently needed some help with our Mac. After a false start with a different company I was thrilled to deal with the people from PC Doctor. Communication was prompt, efficient, to the point and accurate. The young man who came, Ryan, was exceptional! Polite, friendly, businesslike and best of all - fixed the problem and gave an easy to understand explanation.
