Enginar (Artichokes) - This has to be one of my favorite Turkish dishes. Make sure you're getting this in the May - July timeframe when artichokes are in-season in Turkey. Otherwise there is the risk that you're getting canned/ preserved artichokes which don't taste as fresh. 2. Yaprak Sarma (Domades) - This are always a solid choice, not the canned kind that you usually find in stores. 3. Fasulye (Green Beans) - Probably one of my favorite turkish dishes. // Meat Kebabs 1. All of them are good period. // Other 1. Lahmacun (turkish pizza with minced meat) - Yusuf makes the best Lahmacun I've had in Alacati hands down. 2. Ciftlik Kebabi - A bunch of delicious meat which have been roasted with vegetables. 3. Manti - Always home made and delicious. Get this topped with yogurt and butter. 4. Firin Makarna (Macaroni in the Oven) - Turkish style baked mac and cheese. Pure deliciousness. // Dessert 1. Kazandibi (bottom of kazan, no good english translation) - This is turkish caramelized milk pudding. I have no idea what Yusuf does to make this so delicious but this is the best kazandibi i've had period. 2. Asure (noah's pudding) - Also a solid choice here This is a dessert congee made with various fruits and nuts.

They have many mezze options you can order from at the entrance of the restaurant. Once you've selected your foods your waiter will bring them to your table. After a few hours of shopping in Cesme and walking around Imren Lokantasi hit the spot. The food was speedy and good enough. If you're looking for more of a fine dining experience I'd recommend trying out one of the fish restaurants that are on the marina. For what we wanted, which was a quick food stop before resuming shopping, Imren Lokantasi was perfect. My favorite dish at this location oddly enough turned out to be the kizartilmis patlican (fried eggplant). The manti, which is normally my favorite go-to dish in Turkey, seemed like it had been sitting in water for a little too long since the dough tasted like it had retained a ton of water. The dish flavors were still on point so this may be a safer bet earlier in the day. Overall if I'm in need of a quick meal while shopping I'll probably come here again. If I want a more luxurious dining experience I'm probably headed to one of the fish restaurants along the marina.

The staff was very accommodating even with my unruly 3 year old not wanting to cooperate. We sat outside on the balcony overlooking a beautiful garden and pool (presumably part of the Alvya Hotel which the restaurant is part of). After dinner, we were greeted by the owner and the chef and he thanked us for visiting. They make several mezzes and salads which are served by the portion so you choose as few or as many as you. They also have some meat entrees like kofte and lamb. We chose 4 different mezzes and a portion of lamb to share. Everything was delicious, the food was so flavorful. It's difficult to pick any particular item to highlight because they were all so but the pumpkin, the stuffed grape leaves and the lamb definitely are a must! The taste of homemade food comes across with every bite from beginning to end. They open for lunch from 2-5pm only, not sure if these are the hours all year round or only in the summer. The tables are all outdoor in their garden which adds a relaxing atmosphere to the dining experience.
