We went here while we were staying at the nearby Rushton Hall. We went there because we both like Mediterranean cuisine, and it had good reports.
The restaurant is on two levels, with a large atrium, and something of a centrepiece chandelier. There is also a small outdoor eating area. It is located in former bank, on the junction of Desborough Road and the High Street. The best place to park is the nearby town Square, just a few minutes walk away.
We both had the shish main dishes; one with chicken, and one with halloumi and falafel. These are served on grilled vegetables, and come with either rice or bulgur wheat. They are also served tzatziki and harissa sauce, and a large wedge of Turkish bread. Both excellent; very tasty, nicely prepared, and decent portions.
Afterwards, my partner had the pistachio baklava, which was served with ice cream and dribbled with ground pistachio nuts. This was delicious, and clearly home-made.
On the evening we went, there was an offer for one main half price with another main course. So, together with drinks, our meal came to under £35. We thought this was excellent value.
Despite the fact they were extremely busy, the staff were working very hard, and service was excellent. We would happily recommend it. read more
