Extremely Disappointing Experience -- Would Not Recommend
I had a very disappointing experience with attorney Lisa Potter. I retained her for multiple family-law matters and paid substantial legal fees, but in my experience the representation lacked the level of attention, communication, and professionalism I expected.
I repeatedly raised legitimate concerns about the accuracy and strategy of documents being prepared in my cases. Rather than having a constructive discussion about those concerns, the attorney-client relationship deteriorated and she ultimately chose to withdraw. This left me dealing with unfinished matters, delays, the need to transition everything to new counsel, and significant additional legal expense.
Some legal work was completed, and I acknowledge that. However, considering the fees paid, the work remaining when representation ended, and my overall experience with communication and case management, I was extremely dissatisfied.
For a complex and emotionally difficult family-law case, clients need an attorney who is attentive, receptive to reasonable questions, and committed to seeing the agreed work through. Based on my personal experience, I would not hire Lisa Potter again and cannot recommend her. read more
