This is a very nice hotel. Yes the rooms are spacious. The staff is great. The breakfast is…read morefabulous. Two grips however it doesn't have a pool, and the roof view to the west looks at skyscrapers and roof tops. However if you are an early riser check out the roof top at sunrise. Ohhhhh two more negatives sorry when you are pay $400 a night for your room the least they could do is actually make you a fresh cup of coffee. UNFORTUNATELY! The have one of those automatic push the button and the machine pours out brown water with no flavor! If you ask for a real cup of coffee they want to charge you more for it. Seriously $400 dollars for my room and I still have to pay for my coffee! So I giving it a very weak 4 star's just like there weakest coffee possible! Yuk!

Ok, maybe I'd throw in the word comfort too, for this hotel had the most comfortable bed of my entire two week trip. Yup, I was as snug as a little joey in his mother's pouch. Oh, and the carpeted floors were simply Heaven with so much spongy padding underneath the carpet that I felt like I was walking on a cloud. I swear this experience was just like taking a trip to a spa, and it had me crying, "Why can't my carpets at home be this awesome!" Finally, the location of this one rocks!! The whole area near the hotel is loaded with bars and restaurants of just about every style--why I even found a sushi conveyor-belt restaurant around the corner. Kanpai! Yes Sir, whatever language you want to say it in---Kanpai, Cheers, Hooray, or Good On YA ----The Majestic Roof Garden Hotel is a winner.

Yeah, the old bus station was a bit of a dump, however this newer one has great facilities, and is a much better place for buses that come through Adelaide, which is probably the major non-car method of getting around the state. Yeah, they have definitely made it a much better place to catch buses from.

That 6 hour Stateliner trip with 8 million stops to Mount Gambier is the bane of my existence and as soon as I could get my license I was saving for a car so I wouldn't have to travel on the bus anymore. Having said that, for those who don't mind the bus the service has greatly improved as has the facilities. The new Central Bus Station has been there for a few years but looks so much nicer than the sad looking building next door that was its former residences. The building is light and airy and there is plenty of seating room while you wait. There is big row of customer service people who can help with your questions and a little café to purchase magazines or food for the trip. There are nice toilet facilities and a freight area where you can pick up packages sent up on the buses. A definite improvement on what used to be there before, although there is still not great parking which becomes a pain.
