The Red Cabin at Green acres is a quaint supper club, located outside of Fond du Lac, on County…read moreroad T. I went there, with family, for Easter Family Style Dinner. When we walked in at 9:55 am, the bar was swamped, with families gathered around the bar and bar area high top tables. We walked past and entered the restaurant. They had my reservation and immediately seated us at our table. On the table was a bowl of chilled coleslaw, pitcher of cold water and small glasses. There was dinner rolls with butter; assorted desserts on a dish and a plate of fresh fruit (Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, pineapple, green and red grapes.). Our wait staff young lady came around quickly to take drink orders, then after bringing them out, she brought out the food. Broasted chicken breasts, ham, and beef tips with mushrooms were the main courses. Bowls of buttered corn, garlic mashed potatoes, and glazed carrots. Everything was hot, and tasted great, just as if they took you home for Easter supper. Our server, Maddie, came around numerous times to keep us full with anything we desired. The restaurant was filled fast, once 10 am came, I'd estimate 80-100 filled the booths and tables, mainly large families. The wait staff had people taking drink orders, taking out food, and later bussing; very organized and pleasant. Our check came and we paid Maddie. A very wonderful experience, especially for a holiday menu and family atmosphere. I've been here on regular days and they always have great food quality and superior service. We

Ala Roma is a "must-visit" when I return home to Fond du Lac. We always go as a family!…read more It's always bustling and busy, but we are always accommodated quickly. Service is always kind and helpful. My favorite dish recently has been the creative your own pasta. I get gnocci with Alfredo & request slivered almonds because I loved them on another dish. They always are so kind and do so. I always try a new drink and am never disappointed. Their bar is great! They have a decent amount of gluten free choices (my mom is gluten free) and she is always excited to go. Even though it is typically busy, it's never noisy or crowded, in my opinion. I'll definitely be back!

We started with the calamari, that is served two ways & we ended w/ 2 desserts to go, the Tiramisu & Cannoli Cake! Can't wait till later to enjoy them. We also shared a cup of French onion soup. That again, was a delicious winner. We didn't think to get pictures of the calamari & soup. For our entrees, it was a great dilemma to have.... Pizza, Pasta, or a Salad. So we opted for all three A cheese & Sausage pizza, that is amazing! The Braised Beef Ravioli was a great pasta choice! Loved the sauce. And for the Salad The Black & Bleu, that's sure to impress and is a very generous portion! Our waitress, Kylie, was a total delight, making the meal more enjoyable. We're pleasantly content, with full bellies and plenty leftover for more meals to enjoy later. I highly recommend enjoying a meal at Ala Roma. If we lived here it would definitely be a fav place of ours. We'll definitely visit here when passing through. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

On our way up north used yelp to find a good place to stop outside of Red Robin or McDonald's…read more Several reviews on this place were impressive so we decided to stop. Well I'm pretty sure we found our regular stop!!! They were friendly and quick. From the outside it really doesn't look like anything special but the inside is a nice "Northwoods" type bar and Food was delicious. We both had burgers which were cooked perfectly!!! My only problem is I usually ate before I decide of to post a review and was able to take pics.... Sorry haha Side note.... one thing I noticed that must be mentioned is the older lady doing all cooking by herself and That alone is beyond impressive and it was all done in a timely manner!!!! I felt like I was watching gramma cook us all dinner!!! Loved it!!! Ohhh and we got mini baby Ruth's with our check PS I indulged in a couple beers as well.... good beer/drink selection for a small town bar!! Highly recommended!!!

You ever walk in a place you've never been and the music stops and everyone turns to see these…read morealiens who just entered? Well, this is that place. Full disclosure, I can't review the food because we never got to order. Here's why: Stopped at 11:30 on a weekday, maybe 5 tables of people sitting. Sat at the bar. Bartender never made eye contact. Never said "be with you aliens shortly". I told my friend what to order for me as I had to use the bathroom. When I came back, no drink yet. Still no eye contact. Finally after 15 minutes she brings menus over and asks what we want to drink. We order and since it wasn't soda from the gun, she turns and while walking away said "I can't make those. It takes too long. These other people are all in their lunch break". Believe me, we didn't order muddled mojitos and it wouldn't have taken long to make. But aliens don't get lunch breaks I guess. We can afford to kill two hours at a pub and grill. Ok cool, we wait while she brings drinks to the 5 tables (I give her credit, she was hustling) and then disappears into the kitchen for some reason. At that point we realized the aliens were never going to be served so after what has now been 20 minutes + after we sat down, we got up and left. Not before we got some evil eyes like "how dare you leave". If you're a regular, great. You've found a spot. If you're an alien, find another planet to land on and hopefully get served.
