We also got the duck bao buns but the duck did not taste fresh so I would not recommend ordering that.

What a wonderful surprise and 'difference' in décor and service. On arriving at Broadgate the sounds of music hit our ears. We were, obviously, going the right way. As the circle opened in front of us it was going to be a fun few hours as everyone was dancing away. That was the first difference from the previous two Mr. Foggs. It was, we think, the inspiration of Mrs. Fogg. Another difference was you ordered at the bar and you took the drinks to your table. Cocktails were delicious but not quite as elaborate, nor were the glasses but that needed to be as most were being drunk outside. A mixture of all age groups and I include ourselves as we were the oldest there but never felt uncomfortable. Music was, as I said, LOUD. Everyone was having fun, as we were too. OK next stop will be the Gin Parlour, at some point in time. We love the Foggs venues for their quirkiness and individuality. For their different, unique, cocktails. I went along with my work colleagues as they hired out the venue for a Christmas work party. The Crypt is quite a decent size to hire out we had 10 tables seating 10 people around each table which seems to be the max number of tables that this venue can hold in the size it accommodates along with a DJ/band and bar area. As you can imagine the venue looks like a church outside and in as it used to be. So you have nice stone wall and stain glass windows. Lovely place for a wedding reception. The food that was served was all quite nice but not totally hot but then i did not expect it to be when they have to serve approx. 100 people on the night but I am sure if was much lesser people food would of been hotter and nicer. Only one thing I feel the portions are quite small and half a icecream scoop of mash. Other than that lovely venue and the staff are very nice and willing to please.

The Old Nuns Head truly has carved itself out as the heart of this small community and lays on all sorts of events from ale festivals to karaoke (no bonus for guessing which of those I prefer! ;). They even have a yoga class that is run upstairs in a big hall, but am reliably informed it is run by a sexed up crazy lady - never know though, this could be EXACTLY what you are looking for?! The place is clean, has a wonderful atmosphere that they work hard to keep relaxed and cosy. The food menu is good, Sunday lunch is actually fantastic and there are even a wide range of board games for you and your mates to get caught up in over a cold one. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that they have recently extended the menu from traditional British food (of very healthy proportions) to include a Thai menu which does, I'm disappointed to report, leaves a lot to be desired. However, the Roasts and other traditional foods are still on the menu and still a big hit with me. Great pub, fantastic building, wonderful bar staff and is a real selling point of the area.
