Beautiful scenic views surround this hotel. First thing to mention is that you can see the great blue sky, the wonderful tide, the relaxing beach, and the gorgeous sunset. One tough challenge is that it is on the top of a hill hence the name. It is a steep incline so if you are not in shape, then I recommend a different location. You can take the funicular down to the the carpark and the hotel has parking as well. It's close to many buses and you can visit nearby areas. Everyday, there was an option of full English breakfast (with meat or vegetarian) or porridge or cereal. They had hot coffee and tea prepared daily when asked. In our rooms, there were tea biscuits and cookies as well as a kettle and also some milk and coffee packets (caf and decaf). There was also an ability to place dinner requests by 4 pm to dine downstairs each evening. On the first floor, there was a room filled with games and puzzles and also another one with a chess board and relaxing arm chairs. The only downside was that it's an old Victorian home so you can hear your neighbors walking, talking, and pretty much living. read more

Booked this from the tourist office when we arrived in Lynton. £80 ish B&B per night. Nothing at all to complain about. The staff and owners were friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent. It is very old school and a bit purple rinse, but overall excellent. Parking for around 6 cars at the front. Steep hill up to town centre. read more
