Friendly patrons & staff - no issues within the place that I have ever seen. Has different areas of the pub which means different groups of people have their own 'area'. Pub has occasional theme nights, live music, discos and karaoke. A Sunday quiz every week that is friendly and fun. Prices are competitive and cheaper than some of the competition. Food is good value, drink is good. Highly recommend!

This place is a rarity nowadays, a traditional English pub that has never pretended to be anything else. The people who drink in the Railway know that they can go in at any time of the day or night & not feel out of place whether they are "designer-clad" or just popping in for a few beers after work, everybody receives the same warm welcome from the staff & licencees alike. For anybody wanting to visit a traditional,un-pretentious English pub & have some good quality, honest food then you'd be hard pushed to find anywhere better than The Railway!!
