The office has state of the art technologies and treatments. All of the staff are knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. An added touch is the beautiful artwork displayed. Dr. Bahreman has helped me more than any other doctor I have seen, and made the biggest difference in my recovery.

I have appointments here every other week, and I consistently wait at least 35-45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before being seen. I work from home and have to drive through traffic to get back to East Chula Vista so I can return to work. I have explained at nearly every appointment that I have a limited window of time for my therapy, but my concerns seem to fall on deaf ears. Based on conversations I've overheard in the lobby, I'm clearly not the only patient experiencing these issues. During one appointment, I waited 45 minutes before they finally set me up for PENS electrical stimulation therapy. I questioned how they could expect me to stay for the entire hour of treatment after making me wait so long. The doctor explained that they only have one machine, yet they continue scheduling overlapping appointments. I even asked the doctor directly why he allows his staff to overlap appointments when they clearly do not have the equipment or capacity to accommodate patients on time. His only response was, "I'm sorry." An apology means very little when the same problem continues to happen at every appointment. It feels as though this facility prioritizes scheduling as many patients as possible over providing timely, quality care. Patients have jobs, responsibilities, and other commitments. Our time deserves just as much respect as theirs. I have been more than patient and have repeatedly communicated my concerns, but nothing has changed. I absolutely do not recommend this place. If you value your time and expect a facility to respect your scheduled appointments, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

I don't often post reviews, unless I have a great experience, or a really really bad one. This one…read morewas exceptionally bad. Er-Kai Gao was incredibly rude and condescending to my wife and I every single time we spoke. He regularly made unsolicited, unprofessional comments and suggestions about our lifestyle and what line of work I should pursue. At first it was off putting, but when he continued making comments and suggestions in the same vein, I communicated my intent to get cleared and pursue my intended line of work as planned. I noticed that he did not like this and essentially held my ability to drive hostage, and consequently my livelihood. I had a pair of fainting spells, which doctors and exams deemed to be vasovagal syncopes (later found out they were triggered by dehydration). Understandably, we were concerned and sought specialized care and my driver's license was suspended while I underwent testing. My PCP referred me to Er-Kai Gao and initially he was reasonable, explaining the process and assuring me all tests had to come back negative for him to clear me with the DMV. In conducting multiple tests, they came back negative for seizures. I began to noticed that during test result reviews, he became more and more reluctant to reiterate his willingness to clear me, as he said he would in the beginning. When reviewing the final test results, which also came back negative, he flat out refused to clear me and wanted me to get on a seizure medication indefinitely, despite me having no history of seizures and the fainting spells being unrelated, by all accounts and test results. When I refused the medications and reminded him that nothing was pointing to seizures, per all his tests, he flat out told me he would not clear me. I went back to my PCP and insurance and requested another neurologist. Luckily, I found a great one that reviewed all the test results and was shocked to hear my experience with Er-Kai Gao. To be sure, he had me do a couple more tests and when those also came back negative, they cleared me immediately. This was by far the worst service and consequential medical experience I've had. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. If you're referred to Er-Kai Gao's office by your PCP and happen to see this review before you set up an appointment, proceed with caution or simply request another neurologist. Absolutely not worth the gamble. His niece was a PA here at the time and was not as bad as him. Hopefully she will see these reviews as feedback to help improve the situation there.

You have the choice of attempting to find a place on the street in front of the building in which the doctor is located, or in one of the two parking structures loacted behind the building. The waiting room in the doctor's office is fairly small. Please note that it is always crowded with patients. Accordingly, you may have to stand while you wait to be called by one of the nurses into one of the examination rooms in the back. I noted even at 9:00 a.m., which is their first appointment of the day, and the time I arrived for my second appointment, it remained as crowded as ever. The nerve conduction studies are done in two parts. The first part is performed by an assistant. The accupuncture testing thereafter will be performed by the doctor.

After signing in and taking care of the paperwork she asked me to go ahead and have a seat. When I went to sit down I noticed a faint sound of me being at the beach. I heard waves crashing delicately against the rocks to and fro. I heard seagulls and a few other birds as well as a slight sound of wind. This was so cool. I looked around and found a white sound machine sitting on one of the tables in the well decorated waiting room. I was already so nervous and this completely calmed me down. I loved it! I was called in approximately 15 minutes after my appointment time and Dr. Jablecki introduced himself. We sat down and began to discuss my case when I noticed that he has five pens (my favorite ones too) in his top left shirt pocket. While he is talking I start noticing ink appearing on his shirt. I didn't know whether to ignore it or tell him. You know me Yelp peeps. I excused myself for interrupting and advised him that it was leaking. The Dr. removed the pen and got up to put white tape to cover up the ink so that it wouldn't bother me. How could he tell I was OCD? lol. That was a great customer service move! We went on with the intake and then went into the examination room. This room was very well decorated and homely at the same time. It was a cross between a doctors room and a vintage massage room. I noticed a complete wall with accommodations and degree wall of fame which also included an official award from the President of the United states certificate signed by the Secretary of State. My favorite was the award for him being an honorary Eagle Scout with The Boy Scouts of America! As I looked at the wall the only thing that I could think of was "I really bet that his Momma must have been so proud!". While I waited I was thirsty and the receptionist brought me some nice cold water (that is customer service). I did not like the process that I needed to have done but Dr. Jablecki made it more tolerable. He is very polite and personable. He will answer every question you have and not mince words. He tapes all of his findings with you sitting right there which keeps you in the loop of your prognosis even if you do not understand everything he is saying. My experience over all was exceptional. I would recommend you check out the health grades below if you are in need of his services please give him a call..
