Have you ever met someone and instantly knew they were about to become a huge part of your family?…read more Tom Bonvegna responded to an online inquiry I had about a Baby Grand piano that I wanted to surprise my husband with while he was deployed. My husband had played for years and since this was our first home purchase, I really wanted to make that happen. Tom, a Vietnam Vet and hero, reached out to me, heard my story and desire, and made it his goal to help us get a beautiful piano delivered. Our budget was ridiculously tight, and Tom made it happen. I researched everywhere, from estate sales, other online marketplace forums, about 15 different piano stores (some local, some not). After all of the research I had done (not knowing much about pianos beforehand), I learned that unless you REALLY know your stuff, you needed to go through a reputable company. If a piano wasn't tuned for the duration of its life, it could look pretty, but it wouldn't be very functional. I almost made a deal with another company that I would have regretted... and then Tom called and from that moment, I had an absolute peace about working with him. He was not a "salesman," but a true gentleman. Tom went the extra mile by a lot!!! There was one piano we thought would work, and it was even bigger than my original plan. After Tom looked at the pictures of my home (and staircase), we decided to wait for another piano to become available. There was a little bit of time that went by where I didn't think we were going to find it, and then... the call came. Tom found the most beautiful Yamaha, ebony, baby grand that plays incredibly! My husband was completely surprised and has loved at (1) having a baby grand piano delivered in his home without him there, (2) that I stayed within my designated "muahahaha" budget, and (3) that we found such an incredible person to work with. The piano delivery service was also excellent! Such care, such professionalism, and physical strength too. It's been four and one-half months and my home has been filled with music ever since. Thank you Jason's Music Center for being such a wonderful company to work with...and thank you to Tom for really making this happen.

We had been…read moresearching since the summer exploring both the used and new market for a Kawai trying to marry our budget with our needs and desires. Once we decided on a piano, Steve was able to make the magic happen so we could bring it home! This included trading in our baby grand. As our piano wasn't in stock, Steve went out of his way to locate one for us. There was a wait for the next shipment and the process of customs, but it was so worth it! It has a beautiful, rich, mellow sound! We are looking forward to the decades that this piano will be used! Today alone, it's been used almost nonstop since it's arrival! Also, the piano movers were so professional and really took care of each piano during take down and set up. Thank you again Steve!

So I've been going to MusicLand since I was a kid. That's the local music shop and as a kid I loved…read moregoing there, it was like a candy store to me. Moved away for college but now I'm back in my hometown and love to support local business. I recently went in to get my bow repaired and new strings for my violin. The repair guys (I believe his name was Gary) in the back were awesome and very kind. But the employees on the floor... 1. I've never been greeted upon entry the past couple times I've gone. 2. It felt like I was bothering them to ask for strings or to be rung up. They had an air of annoyance that I interrupted their conversation behind the counter. I chalked it up to maybe they were having a bad day. Yesterday I went in, I know exactly what I want. I want a coil instrument cable. The employee's first response was "you know those are super expensive" Which yeah... I do know. Don't look at me like I'm crazy for knowing I want a very specific item. For frame of reference a top shelf coil cable averages at $60.00 USD. I just spent more than that to have my violin bow rehaired. I explain that "yes, I want a coil cable because there is a certain tone I want for my instrument." I yet again get another incredulous look. This was after I was led to their selection of cables. They're sold out of coil cables. I wasn't offered to put in an order, or to leave a number for when they were restocked. I'm bummed because I want to support local businesses especially those regarding the arts. But I'm really fed up with how the sales floor employees treat me. I'm probably only going to come back if it's for repairs.

They mentioned a Flash Sale happening on 10/31/25, but unfortunately my card wasn't working at the time. Later, I reached out to their Facebook page and received a very kind message from Larry (the owner), who assured me that once my card was working, they would take care of me. And I have to say... they did exactly that. The entire team was kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely honest--whether I was looking at a $500 guitar or a $2,000 guitar. Noah spent nearly an hour walking me through different options, answering questions, and helping me narrow down the style and feel of the guitar I truly wanted. In the end, I walked out with a PRS S2 Custom 24-08 in Lake Blue--my first electric guitar, and an absolutely stunning one at that. I couldn't be happier with the choice. So to Larry, Noah, and the whole Music Land staff: thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my experience unforgettable. You've earned a lifelong customer, and I'll definitely be back!

EXCELLENT VALUE FOR EXCELLENT SERVICE…read more I've been taking piano lessons at Young's School of Gospel and Jazz for over a year now, and I have truly enjoyed every lesson. Tim is a very experienced and passionate teacher that focuses his lessons on your personal goals. The first lesson is a free consultation to understand these goals. As a music producer, my piano goals were much different than someone training to be a classical composer. The school has thoroughly met my personal goals and I have met other students that are meeting their different goals. Young's School not only provides fantastic piano lessons, but also life lessons and empowerment. Tim leverages his experience to provide context into having a career in music and promotes real world application of lesson material. Lastly, whenever I leave a lesson from Young's School, I feel challenged, confident, and ready to practice to get to the next level!

Update 08/2018: My daughter is still attending Columbia Rock School (renamed from LTBRS a while…read moreago). She is doing great, loves it and has no plans to stop anytime soon. Original Review: My daughter started almost a year ago at LTBRS and she loves it. Her instructors (band and private lessons) are wonderful and she has learned so much. She started with singing and we have added piano. She is also part of their band program which is a great experience for the kids. When I was first researching singing lessons in our area I did look at a similar school right across the street to us but wasn't sold on it as it felt very corporate with a program that didn't feel at all flexible in my personal opinion. My daughter can work on the songs she chooses alongside the songs she sings for the band program at LTBRS and there are also opportunities for her to perform at Open Mic Nights as well. Something she really looks forward to. As for the piano it was something that took a while to get going, as learning the basics can sometimes be boring for kids, but her instructor has done a fantastic job moving her along and keeping it fun. She is now practicing all the time on her own as well which is great to see. The atmosphere and the owner is great. I'm glad we chose this school over the other options in the area.
