Be very cautious with Stonecrest Apartments! When I asked…read morebefore applying if the price listed included everything except electric, I was told yes. The apartment price was $1,125, but later I was told it's actually $150-$175 more for water, sewage, trash, cable, and internet. I applied for an apartment on July 3, 2025. My application listed the price as $1,275. That same day, I received several emails about my application moving forward. I even got an invitation to activate an online portal for payments, auto-pay, and maintenance requests. After registering, the portal immediately asked for a $200 holding fee. I paid it, believing this meant I was approved and the apartment was being held for me. I even emailed Kolton saying I'd be in on July 10 with my information. But when I showed up, he told me I wasn't approved yet, had no record of approval, and didn't know why I was asked for the $200. I asked for my $200 back. He said he'd call corporate. Days went by with no update. I called corporate myself, leaving three voicemails with three different people -- no one answered or called me back. I even left a message on their website with no response. Finally, on August 7 -- 35 days after applying and 28 days after speaking to Kolton -- he called to say I was approved. By then, I had already made other housing arrangements (as anyone knows, you can't wait over a month to hear back when moving -- most leases give 30 days). I told Kolton again I wanted my $200 back because they were not holding an apartment for me. He insisted it was non-refundable and said I could "try calling corporate" myself -- even though I'd already done that. This $200 "holding fee" is misleading at best and feels like fraud. You can't make someone wait over a month for approval, keep their money, and expect them not to find another place to live. Any ethical and reasonable landlord would understand this. Unfortunately, that was not the case with Kolton, Stonecrest Apartments, or Soundview Equities. Misleading, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.

just moved in and I love it here ..... can't wait for the pool to open up!read more

The building is historic…read morebut the apartments are fairly new, with space and amenities I hoped to find when I moved out of the area. The maintenance guys are superb; I don't recall ever waiting more than 24 hours regardless of the priority of the request. The BAD: It's noisy; you will hear your neighbor (and their dog) upstairs, and sometimes those on either side. The UGLY: I had auto-pay, and they continued to charge me for more than a month and a half after I moved out. They refused to show me how they calculated the refund amount, mis-addressed the refund check, and - despite the fact that it was due to their errors - charged me to stop the delayed check. If you rent here, make sure they don't cheat you too.

I am not an actual tenant here nor have I lived here. I helped a family friend move a few weeks back and checked out the facilities. The condos or apartments themselves are very beautiful with origami blm hardwood floors and good space. The interior designs and decor in this place are phenomenal. A beautiful place with cool architecture and landscape. The amenities here seemed to be really top notch as well. I was impressed with everything I seen on my trip. The apartment or condo life does not fit my large family lifestyle but if I lived a simpler and more condensed life then they would absolutely be a place I'd check out to live.
