It's beautifully lit and the various art installations/framed photos on the walls made it an interesting place to hang around and wait for the next act to begin. The (volunteer?) staff was collectively young, hip (I refuse to call anyone a hipster anymore, but I guess they fit the mold) and really very friendly. Randy Bacon doesn't hold shows very often, nor do I know if it'll up the frequency at all in future months, but seeing Why? here was so ideal and made for such a memorable evening. Minus one star because there were noticeable sound problems that stressed the opening acts out a little and pushed back the door opening time, but it really wasn't a big deal to me as I was running a merch table and therefore didn't have to wait outside. Basically, if you hear of a show coming to Randy Bacon anytime in the future, it'll probably be worth going to. I was impressed.

My wife and I loved our photo shoot today (Randy doesn't tell you how to pose, he sets you up so that you allow your own independent flair to come through), and last year had our wedding reception at the Monarch Factory. There were tons of compliments - it was radical and special :-) Definitely will be back!

We had discussed 3 most important pieces of our wedding was a good photographer, good food, and DJ, we went to see Beth, and I was skeptical of Kearney street, and after visiting we just new she would be awesome, and fulfill our hopes of finding a great photographer, and it was the best price around!!! We reserved the day we met with her. Beth did our engagement photos, bridal photos session, and wedding. When we did the Engagement photos Beth had the perfect park for us to go to, told us how to stand and where to look, completely made us feel at ease. She was calm, cool, and collective at all times and made it easy for us to laugh and enjoy the moment. On the wedding day her husband Tim was the second photographer and it made the day stress free. She kept us on time and in line, gave ideas of what to do, where to take pictures and to top it off we received our pictures 5 weeks after our wedding!!! So many of my friends got married and waited half a year for photos. Every photo they took from our engagement until our wedding day we have rights to, the wedding ones are online for family to be able to view, plus on discs and jump drives! The package we ordered had engagement wallets worked into the price, and we decided we didn't want those but wanted thank you cards with wedding photos on and she was more than willing to work out the price difference so we had very little extra to pay but our thank you cards had an awesome wedding photo on them! When and if children come I know who will do the maternity, new born, and family pictures!

SHORT VERSION since the number of problems I wished to explain was too long for Yelp:…read more1. Our experience with this company ruined our video experience from our wedding day and they withheld services we paid for to capture our special day, which we will never get back. I will say Beth took good photos of our wedding day, which is the only positive, even though that has been way overshadowed by everything else, in my opinion. 2. DO NOT BOOK BETH'S PHOTOGRAPHY for videography. Unless you're interested in paying a lot of money for not what you asked for or agreed to in writing (oh and waiting along time to get it). Long story as short as I can make it: We wanted videography services with NO EDITING. I e-mailed them for a quote 11 months before our wedding. Their response was that they could do it for $600 for 4 hours or $800 for 6 hours. I e-mailed them back and asked, "Does this include 3 camera angles?" to which they responded "Yes 3 cameras during ceremony the rest of time it's just one capturing the events." That is the ONLY conversation we had about videography with the exception of our contract where Tim wrote 6 hours videography $600 (again, an oversight/mistake on his part). When we went to pick up our wedding photos, we noticed that we only received video from 2 angles. We called Tim and asked him to include the 3rd angle on the CD when he mailed us the bridal session photos. He proceeds to tell us that we did not pay for 3 angles and so we only get 2. Also let me insert here that 1 angle was behind my husband's head, zoomed in on my face for the entire ceremony. The other angle was behind the arbor/altar area where you can see only the back of the preacher and us (from 10 feet away) and can hear nothing (no view of the special readings that were done during the ceremony or close-ups of any of the guests). When I sent Tim a copy of the e-mails we had sent back and forth and the contract and invoice, he said that the amount we paid and were quoted was actually for only 2 camera angles. This is obviously contrary to what was stated in the e-mail when I SPECIFICALLY ASKED if there would by 3 cameras and he said YES!! He sent us a CD in the mail twice with video angles we already had, drawing out the whole situation. He did not offer an apology or a refund or even state that he made a mistake during that time. We saw a 3rd camera (a Go Pro) in some mums at the front of the aisle facing us from the perspective of the wedding guests so we knew there was a 3rd angle. After over a week of arguing back and forth through phone calls and emails (and over 8 weeks after our wedding), I called Tim and he said that the 3rd camera we saw was actually not a video, but a backup camera for photographs in case something went wrong with the cameras, so there is no 3rd angle for us to get. So, we have 4 hours of coverage (which equals less than one hour of actual footage we received) from 2 angles even though our contract said 6 hours for $600 and the email we received said 3 camera angles. 3. DO NOT GET BOUDOIR PHOTOS DONE HERE! I was given a CD with someone else's boudoir photos and a video from someone else's wedding so there is no concern for your confidentiality!!! The CD we got with the 2 video angles also included a video from SOMEONE ELSE'S WEDDING!!! So for the second time, there was a breach of confidentiality and I was given another bride's photo/video. 4. After arguing with them for 2 weeks about how the situation with the video should be handled, we were given a $200 refund (out of the $600 we paid), forced to sign an agreement saying we wouldn't slander them (so rest assured, this is all factual information), and forced to forfeit the 8x8 photo book we paid for as part of our package. 5. The only reason we booked them in the first place was because their website listed that in the $2000 Artistic package we purchased, the boudoir and bridal sessions were included in the cost which was great for the price, but turns out they aren't actually included according to Tim so GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
