The quality of the photographs isn't my complaint, but…read moreI did have a rather lengthy and somewhat frustrating process with using an online gallery and making my order via email since we have some family members who were in the photos and are living far away. I had to contact Jessica many times each step of the process, and while she was always polite it seemed like my order always slipped through the cracks. In the end, Jessica did go out of her way to try to make it up to us and that is appreciated.

This review is just for the venue portion of Randy Bacon; I never got photos taken here…read more As far as local venues go, this one should win an award for being the most stylish and comfortable. It's beautifully lit and the various art installations/framed photos on the walls made it an interesting place to hang around and wait for the next act to begin. The (volunteer?) staff was collectively young, hip (I refuse to call anyone a hipster anymore, but I guess they fit the mold) and really very friendly. Randy Bacon doesn't hold shows very often, nor do I know if it'll up the frequency at all in future months, but seeing Why? here was so ideal and made for such a memorable evening. Minus one star because there were noticeable sound problems that stressed the opening acts out a little and pushed back the door opening time, but it really wasn't a big deal to me as I was running a merch table and therefore didn't have to wait outside. Basically, if you hear of a show coming to Randy Bacon anytime in the future, it'll probably be worth going to. I was impressed.

My wife and I loved our photo shoot today (Randy doesn't tell you how to pose, he sets you up so that you allow your own independent flair to come through), and last year had our wedding reception at the Monarch Factory. There were tons of compliments - it was radical and special :-) Definitely will be back!
