Essentially inside the first floor of one of the homes in Tremont (to give you an idea of the vibe), every surface is packed and curated somehow without looking cluttered and making you feel overwhelmed. Street parking is plentiful in the area. From older books to sets of glassware (that were stunning but I had no particular place for them at this point) to a little bit of everything in between. You can tell the owner put a lot of love and thought into the curation. The owner's mom was manning the desk when I was there and she was lovely. After the initial heartfelt hello I was left to browse in peace which is always my preference. I'm always here for a conversation but it's always easier to have at the end of my browsing whether I've bought anything in particular or not. Given the nature of the business I would assume there's quite a bit of turnover in the stock and I'm curious to come back and see what's new-to-me.

When you're a novice speaking to a pro they tend to have less patience for stupid questions, that was apparent and unappreciated. Truth is they have a ton of crap in that store! (In a good way...sort of) Think of an hoarder. But the things that are hoarded are games for sale. It can be a little overwhelming but the owner seems to know where everything is located so that's a plus. The prices are fair I suppose. Don't go expecting a deal. Bottom line is there aren't too many at these gaming stores in existence so support those that are.

First off, my wife felt completely uncomfortable. The owner (or who i presume to be the owner) who "helped" us was staring her up and down the entire time. She felt sexualized and dirty. Instead of making a scene, we exited the establishment with the same gentleman complaining how we left his door open (when we did not btw). If you are a woman, I would suggest avoiding this place like the plague. Second, my friend asked what kind of deal would be given for buying a box of cards. The owner said he would be paying $8 a pack for the full box, same as buying singles. Most establishments would drop by a much larger amount than this. Third and finally, you can barely walk through the place. I am not a large person, but i was struggling to walk through to even browse. One time i was looking at decks of cards, and i was yelled at to get put from behind the counter. Understandable, except for the fact that the entire counter was loaded with boxes of unsold merchandise. One could not tell that it was a counter at all. Once again, I want to reiterate that this store and its owner gave us a terrible experience. It is establishments like these that give TCG's a bad name. PLEASE stay away from here!

But we were able to find this place which is 3 hours away from us. They are very professional and had the parts that were needed to give Alyce new legs and feet. My wife and I really like this shop. They fixed her while we waited. And while we waited we found 2 more porcelain dolls to take home with us. We named them Elizabeth and the one in the tub is Kelly. I didn't include Kelly's photo here because she is supposed to be naked for her bath and I don't know if picturing her here would cause a problem. We enjoyed our time here and plan to go again at some point. I highly recommend them if you have a doll that needs repaired.

S'il Vous Play is a charming toy store in the heart of Cleveland Heights - Cedar Lee District. This…read moretoy store is located in a historical Tudor building, former firehouse. It's a magical store that I wish I had to play at growing up. I can only describe it as an immersion into the pages of a fairytale, it's that cute of an aesthetic. You'll see when you visit! Store: The store has two whimsical levels. The first level often has handmade decorations or twinkly lights. The second level has a gorgeous city mural. There is plenty of natural light. There is sufficient room for the kids to play on the second level and also shop. You can also linger outdoors at dainty tables. Merchandise: The store sells toys for boys and girls of various ages. From dinosaur games to doll houses, you'll find so many things here. Toys are very high quality and very unique. A lot of toys are European made. There is predominance of wood toys and educational games. You won't find the basic boring and overplayed toys. You simply won't find toys like these anywhere else in the city. I don't have kids but stop by to shop for Christmas kid drive donations. It's always so pleasant to shop here and tap into my inner child. I feel that the prices are very fair considering the quality of the merchandise. They also sometimes have great sales. Service: The owner Mariah and the team at S'il Vous Play are such lovely people. Kind, attentive, and always welcoming. Events: The toy shop offers birthday parties. I can't think of a more magical location to host one to be honest. And the location is so photogenic! Many moms I have met in the community had a lovely experience with birthdays here. The toy shop is very involved with the community and you'll find them at various events. Bring the kids to the Heights Music Hop in the fall for music and fun. Look at the store's social media for more happenings. For moms and non-moms, there are monthly women's circles hosted by the Little Scraps of Magic. The circles include tea, conversation, sound bath, and a space for womanhood. I mostly visit the store for these circles and they are soul medicine. They allow you to check out the store, tap into your inner child, and connect with local women. Parking: Parking is available onsite, it's free. Overflow parking is right next door. I can't recommend this store enough. It's just so beautiful, well designed, and filled with treasure. I highly recommend shopping here for your kids, your loved ones' kids, and checking out events. It's a true gem!

I used to be a regular and loved the variety of games, costumes, and gadgets this place stocks that are great alternatives to the flashing, loud toys you encounter at some chain stores. It's easy to navigate and has plenty of options for kids toys without feeling like a warehouse. One of my best finds a few years ago were some "spring" rings. They literally looked like small, brightly-colored springs that would wrap around your ring finger with some beads on the wires. I bought about a dozen at $1 apiece and have included them as gifts to friends since I bought them. I always get compliments from people when I either wear the one I bought for myself or include one as a gift. Every compliment transports me to an idyllic memory of the corner toy store in downtown Rocky River and reminds me that it's ok to be a kid at heart even if you look like a grownup!
