I can't believe it took me to long to check out the Miami Flea! I stopped by last weekend for their holiday bazaar and was in love with all the vendors! From jewelry to crystals to succulents and art, there was something for everyone at the Miami Flea. They also had live music which was super festive and a bar with cocktails. The cocktails were from Mac's pub and super refreshing and tropical. Some of my favorite vendors included Martha of Miami with her Miami AF merchandise, Wagboss and La Succulenta. I left with inspirational jewelry from lucky bee, and a full heart from all the Local love that was going on that day. Aside from the shopping they also have a section for food. I didn't try, but the options were varied and looked delish. Parking can be tricky. There's a few cash lots around but I got lucky with street parking near by. Like my review of the Metrorail, I like the *idea* of the Miami Flea more than the execution of it. I have no idea how much it costs to be a vendor here or what the requirements are, but it must be expensive. It would be cool if they opened the application up to one-time vendors or pop-ups. I wouldn't really make it your main destination for the day, but just a short stop to somewhere else in downtown or Wynwood. I've only purchased food like coffee, macarons, etc. here. Never saw any stuff I actually wanted to buy. The vintage stuff vendor is pretty cool though. It's great for people watching and chilling because a variety of characters show up. read more

With a simple change of name, the rating would be much higher! To me, the term "flea market" is what I associate with the hygienic conditions mentioned in a McLamore song or the back shelves of a quincalla deep in East Hialeah. A place that sells handmade t-shirts, working vintage cameras, has acoustic live entertainment and good food - with corresponding market price - is not a flea market. I'm not saying this to be a "hater" but to suggest that it should rebrand itself as "The Miami Artisanal Mart" or something more fitting. As someone suggested, it should also stay open a little longer since it was packed (although everyone was pleasant, even the folks I sat down for dinner at the communal table.\ Let me talk about that dinner, as it was a carnivore's paradise from Miami Smokers. A not-scrawny beercan smoked chicken - with flavor retained and augmented by their Mango Habanero sauce, a side of smoked bake beans and good service by the cashier. I have to make my way to their brick and mortar soon! Airstream Apothecary didn't disappoint either with their Sailor Jerry spiced rum concoction. I've been to many types of flea markets and outdoor pop of markets. This is my first time here and had a blast. They just moved to 1440 N Miami Ave, Miami, FL 33136. Apparently this is the fourth iteration. There is a little something for everyone. Vintage/antiques clothing, records and various memorabilia. They also have merchants selling hand made crafts: soaps, lotion, art, jewelry, and snacks. There was even live music and the band/singer was great. An awesome smokey classic jazz voice. If you're hungry no worries. There are food vendors with all kinds of things. I found ramen, bbq, tacos and more. They even have several bars selling beer and liquor. If you happen to forget your cash no worries. There's an on site ATM. Most of the vendors are hip and take credit card via square though. Also there's portable restrooms with a hand washing station. Which is definitely needed if you've had a few drinks. Now this wasn't the biggest market but very hand crafted and selected. It's all local businesses or hand crafted type of vendors. No chains or big box stores here. This has potential to grow into something big and great. Just want Miami needs. I walked about with a cool tank top, some sassy button pins and a new handmade sketch book. It is not in the best area of Miami but use common sense. Park legally and don't advertise what's in your car. There's police on site so it's all safe. Think of a quiet park of Wynwood. So if you're interested in coming, bring cash, your ATM card or a credit card. Also bring your appetite and some comfortable walking shoes. It's an experience. ENJOY! The concept its great. Once a month, a bunch of pop up vendors, food stands and good music gathers to make a fun Sunday. I was excited to attend my first Miami Flea, since I heard so many goods things on IG. However, I must say I was a bit disappointed. The location it's rough. They should try to improve the terrain. I saw a couple of people on wheelchairs having a tough time navigating thru the different stands. Food was good, considering, but I found it a tad overpriced. Also, $35 for a soy candle it's a big no-no in my book. Overall, was something different to do on a Sunday afternoon. Not sure if we'll be back. read more

The Miami Flea has HUGE potential! This Sunday's inaugural go-round showed how special it could be. With some fine tuning, it could become a weekend destination. It was very un-Miami to some extent. If you were looking for the typical South Beach crowd and scene, you weren't finding them here. There was food and music set up at either ends so you could browse and nosh while you listened to the music. However, to improve they need to decide what this event is going to be. Is this truly a Flea Market? If so they need to find vendors that cater to that market. Mostly everything was hand-crafted or recrafted, and there wasn't much to be found at a bargain. Which is perfectly fine, but then the name is misleading. You have more a bazaar than a Flea. The food looked outstanding but it would have been nice to see more variety. How many ways can one cook pork? For the vegetarian, you were pretty much on a booze diet. Of which there was plenty. The venue was entirely too small for the crowd. They need to find a space more suitable to the number of people they will attract. We could barely move and ping-ponging around with a bunch of other hot and sweaty people was not my idea of fun. I am sure we missed a few booths, but the lack of space made it too hard to get to them. Overall I am glad I came. If it came back to a different, larger (indoors!) location I would certainly check them out again. read more

There is a saying that says "don't judge a book by its cover" which I feel best describes The Miami Flea experience." Parking: metromover or Uber. If you bring your own car be prepared to park it at a distance and Uber. Do not walk. I'm a Miami native and pretty adventurous when it comes to exploring and I can safely say that at this time, this is not a neighborhood you want to walk through. Ambience: think dirty hippie/urban grunge. If this is your scene then you'll be in heaven. This place has a weirdness vibe in the air that says welcome to all. Lots of young bohemian families with babies and more dogs than I could count. The floor is rocky so leave your chanqluetas at home folks and bring closed toed and sturdy shoes. I found shattered glass on the floor at one point. It feels more as though you're walking through a construction site. Older Hispanic women and men in their 60's-70's from adjacent buildings look on as I'm sure they marvel at the hipster spread below them. Food- I had a burger ($8)and frozen popsicle ($4.50)and that's when the rose colored glasses for The Miami Flea came on. I was pleasantly surprised that the food tasted good. Everything else seemed ridiculously overpriced for the food. Shopping: If your looking for the best in local vintage clothes, accessories and other goodies The Miami Flea brings it home. I was so impressed with the unique offerings that I purchased some Christmas gifts. I was genuinely happy. The prices were not at a discounted rate but at regular market price ($80 for handbags, $25 shirts, $20 hats) but the creations are unique and represent Miami well. I did not give The Miami Flea 5 stars due to the location and its lack of accessible parking for an individual vehicle. However if you adore all that is vintage and locally made this is the place for you. If you feel strongly about supporting local businesses this is a place you can find great treasures. I loved it! I've never been before and I went with one of my closest friends who know a lot of these pretty local markets in Miami! I loved the whole atmosphere with all the international and local stands of clothes, music albums, FOOD and so many other products! The only thing is that it was really hard to walk on the floor because it was full of rocks and other weird things. However, the food got me! We ordered fish and chips which was REALLY good and not even that expensive and the cookie dough smores which was amazing!!! We will definitely go back! read more

The Miami Flea is a nice idea on a Sunday afternoon when you don't have much planned. I came here with my mom today and we walked around the little booths and were interested in a few. The only reason I'm giving it a 3 star review is because it was so hot and it was difficult to walk around due to the floor. Many of the local shops had nice merchandise- lost of artisanal items such as jewelry, clothes, plants, and food. I really enjoyed the henna and a stationary shop that was there. My mom and I each had the coconut smoothies which were a complete hit for such a hot day. The food options were great! They had the salty donut and wynwood parlor amongst other options. It's definitely worth going to once just to see what all the hype is about. read more

I was excited to check this place out, and did so in all of about 20 minutes. I arrived around 3pm in January and the place was packed with dog owners and families. There was a crowd of people watching a live band perform cover songs. I had higher hopes for the venders, but was not interested in scented candles, soap, or vibrant muumuus. I walked around the vendors, checked out the food, and watched a dog take a crap in front of me on the walkway full of people. Luckily I dodged that pile of poo, and good thing I saw it because the owner did not pick it up. I took the Metromover here, which is only a block away. The neighborhood looks a little sketch and there may be some questionable people walking around. Quite disappointed with the Miami Flea. Maybe I went at a bad time?? I may check it out again after an extended period of time to see if it's any better... read more

Cool concept, too crowded. I was so exited to check out Miami Flea! I've been to a few events at Canvas that A&E District put together and they never disappoint. The whole idea is community, local, sustainable. And just create something different from the usual Miami-ness. This event was no different. Very cool vendors selling anything from succulents to handmade Colombian bags. And the Yelp food section had snacks from Miami Smokers & Wapa Taco to name a few. Live music from local artists to set the mood. Key word here, LOCAL! Which I love. But it was just too crowded! I know it was their first time hosting this, and crowded is better than no people. I hope they host this again and just make the venue bigger or charge a small fee, maybe a donation for a local charity, for entrance. Or longer hours, 12-9 perhaps. Something to crowd control. I had to leave because I couldn't really enjoy it or shop without standing in long lines on a hot summer evening. Overall, I loved the vibe and the people. Very cool and again, just something different in Miami which is always refreshing. Just too crowded. read more

I really enjoyed my first visit to the market. Although I agree with some of the reviews that the name could be a bit confusing, it certainly has its charm. There are many vintage pop-ups and mostly artisans showcasing their clothing, jewelry, soaps, accessories, and so much more! The location is convenient. Next to the metro mover school board station and plenty of street parking. The vibe is great with live music and a chill atmosphere. There were several food vendors-- pressed juice, vegan/GF baked good, Indian cuisine, macaroons, pizza and more! Lots of seating or you can bring your own. Overall, I thought it was a great showcase of our local talent and how vintage is the new black. Look forward to next time! read more

Super packed with people. Great idea, but way too little of a space. Had a lot of super cool knick knacks and amazing food as well as live performances. Lots of puppies! I'm suprised how people were able to move around with huge dogs. It was so humid and the amount of people rubbing up against you. Sweat everywhere. read more

I came here expecting more "flea" type finds such as oddities, antiques or one of a kind items. There are a few interesting vendors, and it was a great stroll on a Sunday morning. It's a little saturated with handmade candles and jelwery but they were each unique! I cannot stress this enough: Shop local peeps! I sincerely loved the atmosphere the vendors were awesome etc. but I do have to say we had to leave running after maybe 30 mins. It was so incredibly shoulder to shoulder packed that it was impenetrable. Another thing, wasn't really a flea market. It was a market and it was cute, but there weren't really cool cheap finds. It was more like expensive artisan items. Example, tank tops for $60, rings for $90, cool journals for $55 etc So while it was awesome and we got some cute Instagram worthy photos of pretty plants, beautiful goods, and organic fruit/jams, the actual essence of a flea market wasn't there. I definitely want to go again if they move to a bigger area as well as have more variety in their vendors. read more

I have definitely experienced better flea markets in Miami and in different places. Great idea, just poorly executed. The beauty of a flea market is to hunt and digg and come across random shit for great prices, but i think i only saw one or two options for items under $50 (a sweet hat that I ended up purchasing). It was more like an out door market and each booth had very few items to offer and not a lot of diversity. I thought the live band and food options were great and in general it was a fun activity, but I think there is more of a flea market at Art Walk than here. Hopefully with time more vendors will come through. read more

What a grand way to experience the local up and coming businesses and mingle with the community! To my understanding, this is now a monthly event, which is amazing. The vendors were crazy good, especially The Avenue, a soon-to-be british gastropub taking up residence in The Filling Station! I had chef Andy Bates' famous scotch-egg, and if that is any indication of the goodness to be pouring out of his kitchen, I'm hooked! The only downfall, was the street parking. It was a bit tricky to seek out a decent spot. Aside from delicious food, there are unique goods being sold, such as jewelry, paintings, clothing and vintage goodies. Cool market at a great time on sunday. Great selection of goods, nothing made in China. Feels good to give back to a local community of small up coming businesses and not another corporate establishment. I do how ever wish there was a better selection of food. Almost feels like everyone is selling sausage. Which we had and was delicious (sausage is just not my thing and there wasn't a lot of gluten free options other than sweets)Also we live in Florida and it almost feels like robbery to sell bottles of water for more than a dollar. This is a great idea and we need a lot more of this relaxed culture here in Miami. It still needs work, though. The vendors are lackluster compared to fleas in other major cities. No gorgeous furniture or vintage clothing. Nothing too interesting. Maybe in time this will improve. They could also do with some better food trucks. But, all in all, this is a good first step in the right direction. I'd come back on a bored day, if only for the vibe and live music. Good to have this in the city. This blend of eclectic locals was at the very least a memorable experience. Although a bit crowded the venue was very well planned and organized. There is something here for everyone four legged friends included. From tacos to jams, succulents to wearables, iced coffee to live entertainment and pastries to homeopathic herbs and oils. It was an inter sting event however poorly organized. Parking is on the street where you find one. There is no signs where you can park or not. There was rsvp list, rsvp table was on a side and even if you didn't rsvp the entrance was free, so what is the point of rsvp or putting a table? The space to walk was minimal. It was super crowded. Many vendors went unnoticed because of the amount of people. Next day I learned that several friends were there but there was no way to meet each other inside. People were leaving after 30 min, time it took to walk a circle. This type of event needs to be organized in bigger space. If it is Sunday evening the least you want it to step on people or doggies, being pushed, spill the drink on somebody and spend 10 minutes to walk 5feet from one vendor to another to then discover that you still have to make 3 more feet to be able to read the menu and then go back to order. And we are talking about food-trucks. So dear organizers, please do better job next time! read more

Vendors were well picked-out, I recognized a few of them from the pinecrest farmers market. The live music was great, and the food from coyo taco was delicious!
