But, the manager Patel treated us as if we were VIPs, offering us snacks and fresh towels whenever we went into the office to get ice, and checking in with us to make sure that our stay was comfortable and pleasant. The day we checked out he even reminded us to make sure we didn't forget our phone chargers. The Inn is also conveniently located close to downtown Bismarck. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay in the Bismarck-Mandan area.

We were supposed to have HBO but couldn't find it. Wifi fast and good, so we streamed Netflix instead. We found some AWESOME tennis courts at the Mandan Middle School and played tennis all afternoon. And then passed by an outdoor polka concert at the bandstand downtown. This town is funky. (We passed by Captain Jack's sign for Cupcake Wine and tried to imagine what that might be... ) Overall, we would come here again if we pass through this town. Maybe earplugs for the train?

Unlike some B&Bs that are crumbling with age and disrepair under a veneer of Victorian cuteness, the Hartfiel Inn is clean, comfortable and in superb condition. The owner devotes more time and effort to her guests than other B&Bs. If you can afford it, get the Italian Suite, it is huge!
