There's banquets to share and a good range of dishes, all of which look good enough on the menu to take a hopeful punt on. In fairness, they ARE all worth taking a punt on! The bar is as well stocked as any restaurant bar and the wine list is... well... I'm not a wine expert so I wouldn't know. From the look of it, it seems good enough unless you're Oz Clark. The staff are all pleasant and clued up and, on certain nights, they have traditional Greek music and, well, let me just say that, if you're after a quiet romantic night in, avoid this one (ring ahead to find out when it is as I can't remember) as it can get a bit loud. Fun as hell though. A good little restaurant this!

He gets really involved with the people who eat there. Whenever I have been there, he has made me get up and dance with him on a table at the front. After the dancing he gets everybody outside and lets us all smash a plate. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is the best I have ever experienced in a restaurant. I highly, highly reccommend this place to people of any age for birthday meals, anniversary meals, a fun night out with friends, anything! You will have fun, guaranteed!

It gets busy, but the service is brisk so there were tables when we got there for dinner. I was feeling a little under the weather and wanted something hearty and comforting. I got the garlic mushrooms starter and the moussaka as my main, which was exactly what I needed. The mushroom starter was excellent as it was a super augmented mushroom soup. Steaming hot full pieces of mushrooms bobbing in cream, a great way to warm up quickly. The moussaka was filling and flavorful, with eggplant, minced lamb, potatoes and cheese sauce. They even served the main with a side of perfectly made fries in case you needed more food.

A friend recommended this restaurant to us, so we decided to book a table and give it a try…read more Knowing that the venue has served as various types of restaurant in the past, first impressions were that it has been given quite a good makeover, right down to the colour theme of the island of Santorini. The welcome from the staff was friendly and we were shown to our table straight away and left with the wine list. Whilst not extensive, there are a number of Greek wines to choose from so we tried the Makedonikos, a medium dry white wine that went quite well with our food. Of course, being a Greek restaurant we had to start with a mezze, and there's certainly plenty to choose from here. We tried a small variety of dishes including the calimari, tzatziki and hummus, all of which were delicious. Next, the selection of main courses provides plenty of choice and we both decided to try the Stifado, a favourite of mine since I first tried it in Cyprus a few years ago. The beef is so well cooked here until it is really tender and just falls apart on your fork and the sauce is full of flavour. Highly recommended :) My only comment on the restaurant itself is that, although they've tried to capture the essence of Greece, it's not *quite* there yet. The lighting seemed just a bit too bright and behind the decor, the resturant seems just a bit too modern for a traditional Greek taverna. Hopefully this will change over time as the restaurant develops a bit more character - it is still quite new after all. Otherwise, the food is excellent and the staff are friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be going back. :)

Downsides are that because it gets so busy service can be slow - but i suppose this is just like being in greece! English food is not up to the same standards, so stick to the greek and you'll be guarenteed a good night out!
