I did mistakenly try the wrong set of stairs but there is a nice sign that gently tells you you're in the wrong spot and how to get to where you need to go. They also have a sign with a map of additional parking in the area as you exit the covered parking lot in case it is full. So thoughtful! Walking in the aesthetic is clean, modern looking, and lots of natural light it has plenty of meeting rooms for any of your needs. The signage is on point and makes it easy to navigate the space. Bathrooms are located just behind the front desk as you walk in. The conference rooms are color coded so it makes it even easier to describe where to go when you are meeting with clients. One thing that really impressed me was that the room had a carafe of water and paper cups already set up and waiting when I got there. This is how you do a shared work space folks. Take note!

The office space itself is very clean, modern, and spacious so that I was able to work from almost any chair. Plenty of windows to let in the warm AZ sunshine so that the office didn't have that soul-sucking ambiance that so many others have. The kitchen had all the amenities you'll need like snacks, a fridge full of water, and a Keurig machine. I only had access to the public area and conference rooms based on my membership, but the privates suites looked like they had plenty of space and were customizable to your preferences. I had the chance to bring in clients semi-regularly to the conference rooms, and they've always complimented the layout of the entire area. Staff are very friendly, Jessica is an amazing office manager who will listen to your needs and keep the place constantly improving. Neighbors are all very respectful, professional, and focused on getting after that bread. Overall a no BS, no frills co-working space that I highly recommend, especially if you're based out of the Central/Midtown Phoenix area.

I was welcomed as a guest, walked around the property, enjoyed the space and afternoon snacks, and learned a lot during my visit. From when I arrived to the (free) parking garage's third floor and walked along the pathway which brought me straight into Kiln, I found that everything about the space made sense. As I entered Kiln, I saw a number of people working out in the open or in the nearby enclosed spaces. I kept walking until I came across an area to check in. I signed in as a guest and had a delightful conversation with Renee, who I met at a Yelp event where she was introduced on behalf of Kiln. Renee walked me through everything I needed to know about the space, what to do with cups, plates, etc. when I was done with them, when snacks were coming out, what events were taking place, and which spaces she'd recommend I use based on the sort of work I'd be doing. The other Kiln staff were also very welcoming. I also bumped into a Yelp friend while I was there who was also checking out the space today. There were several large open areas with seating from large community tables to smaller individual tables to comfortable chairs, all with charging ports. There are then reservable larger spaces for team meetings, conference rooms, creative spaces, and large group spaces. Individuals and companies can also reserve their own permanent spaces. I used what are called phone booths as they resemble old-fashioned phone booths with lighting, a desk for a laptop or anything else, and a chair. Some of the phone booths had a ring light that could be connected to a laptop using a USB cord. There weren't charging ports, but I understand that the goal isn't for someone to be in a phone booth for too long. Guests may bring their own food from home or from a restaurant downstairs or even purchase quality food from Kiln directly. There is a space with a fridge, freezer, microwave, and other means to heat or cool food or drinks. Anyone is welcome to complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, water, tea, and snacks, which are offered in the morning and afternoon. The afternoon snacks were put out while I was there with a variation of something similar to Chex Mix and either salami or prosciutto-covered cheese. While I found it easy to make hot chocolate, I did have trouble using the machine though I feel confident that was user error (just me!). The restrooms were just outside the front entrance though they were set up with fancy options including mouthwash, dental floss, mints, and even two-ply toilet paper. All in all, when I first walked into the Kiln Biltmore last week, I really had no idea what to expect as I have never used such a workspace before. Referred to as a "boutique cowering and flex office community," this space is really a space full of spaces where someone can co-work with some amazing amenities. They boast "unique gathering spaces, event spaces, a fitness room, A/V equipped conference rooms, an A/V studio, refresh rooms, and a dynamic and thriving community supported by a robust calendar of networking and wellness events." I didn't get around to learning about the price plans for being a Kiln member though I know there are a number of different options. I am hoping to come back again next week, so I can inquire about membership options at that point in time. Thanks again to Kiln Biltmore and their staff for such a welcoming experience!

I don't typically leave negative reviews, but after my experience with Expansive Midtown, I feel…read moreit's important to share this for any future couples or clients considering this venue. We booked the Penthouse space for our wedding and signed a formal Event Venue Agreement. Less than 30 days before our wedding date, we were informed that the Penthouse would no longer be available--completely disrupting months of planning. Throughout the process, there were ongoing communication issues and inconsistencies. We initially worked with the Sales Manager, Mishaela Padilla (who later went on maternity leave), and our coordination was transitioned to another representative, Ashley. Unfortunately, the transition only added to the confusion, miscommunication, and lack of accountability. Leading up to the cancellation, there were already red flags--conflicting information about access to the space, last-minute changes, and unclear expectations. However, nothing prepared us for the sudden cancellation of our contracted venue just weeks before our wedding. As a result, we were forced to: * Secure a new venue on extremely short notice (significantly higher cost) * Arrange last-minute transportation for guests * Reconfigure rentals, layouts, and design plans * Absorb additional expenses tied to the change * Navigate unnecessary stress during what should have been an exciting time The financial and emotional impact of this situation was significant. While alternatives were briefly mentioned, none were comparable to what we originally booked and planned our entire wedding around. A venue is one of the most critical parts of any event, and reliability is non-negotiable. Unfortunately, our experience with Expansive Midtown fell far short of expectations. I strongly encourage anyone considering this venue to proceed with caution and ensure that all details, contingencies, and guarantees are clearly outlined and protected.

My experience at Expansive was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. From the start, I was…read moremet with consistent covert hostility from the front desk receptionist, Lorrie Innes, whose behavior crossed into racial bias. She repeatedly referred to my clients as "my people" because they are not white, and refused to extend basic amenities to them that other tenants seemed to receive. Privacy was also not respected. Lorrie often entered my office without permission, questioned who I was speaking with while I was on private calls, and spoke to me in a condescending, demeaning tone. She even told me not to "play with the coffee maker"--language no professional should ever use with a paying client. Facility issues were ignored or mishandled. My office air conditioning was broken for six weeks, and when I asked for updates from Lorrie and Madeline, I was gaslighted and talked down to instead of being given clear information. Additionally, I documented tampering with my computer, only to be dismissed and told it "never happened." The most shocking breach of professionalism was Lorrie compensating me for tax services not with actual payment, but with parking validations and conference room time. That set the tone: my business was treated as less-than and put in a chokehold by staff who should have been there to support tenants. Expansive markets itself as a modern and supportive office rental solution. My experience was the opposite--hostile, dismissive, and racially biased. If you're a professional looking for a respectful, secure, and reliable workspace, I strongly advise you to consider other options.
