This museum was a lot of fun for our entire family. Literally from grandparents to the youngest…read moregrandchild who is only 4. We had a wonderful time. They have quite a lot of aircrafts displayed that you can actually walk by and read some historical facts and take many great pictures. Then the indoor part actually surprised us. As we expected it to be very small but they had quite a big exhibit. From engine, propeller, history and even an area where children are allowed to sit in a variety of cockpits of aircrafts. The children had so much fun! The volunteers are very helpful and so nice, explaining everything. At the end of our exploration we stopped at the gift shop and picked up some toys which are reasonably priced and they even got to take a pin home.

From as early as the colonial era, the World Wars, Korean War and Vietnam war, and to the gulf war leading to the present. The interactive exhibits with the several machine guns, aswell as entering vehicles was a great personal experience in the museum. My personal compliments goes to the curator Russ for guiding us through the tour. He was supportive and had a personal passion for history which I recognize. Overall, I say to the reader; study and involve yourself in history! It is real, and we carry a great responsibility in our own hands in determining it.

The fact that you could learn how to do Tinikling is refreshing. The lines for food was expected but it was worth the hour and a half wait to eat a Supreme Spam Masubi from one of the vendors. The funny thing is that my friend and I were #98 & #99 so it gave us the chance To watch the performers at 5:30pm. Great Music too (CRSB & Adrian Marcel) I am a new fan of their music and so proud to have Filipinos like them representing the culture. My only feedback is towards food. All I ask is for a vendor, volunteers perhaps, to make a table for Halo-Halo or Taho. These two snacks/desserts are honestly one of the best to eat on a warm day and I feel people will benefit from trying one. Overall, Great Event! Thank you to all who made this possible! This place was promoted via the web and social media so we looked into it. It is located right off the freeway (I-80) at the Fairgrounds right next to Discovery Kingdom and Marriott. Lots of parking and for the Saturday night we went it was not too packed. The line did stretch so I would say buy tickets online and plan to spend a little time to get in. You go through security and then get you tickets at booth or show your online ticket to entry staff. there is food and a carnival attached so there is something for those that are hungry or want to tire the kids out. Some free things and some decent priced things. I won't mention price point due to everyone has a different budget constraint. Also I'm cheap! When you have 4 kids gotta be mindful! Hope that helps. Overall the lighting was not too bad, I wish they had more, however that is an unfair comparison to the once Winter Wonderland we are used to. Still a fun experience, but bring your pocket book and take time and take pictures. I'm sure as they get feedback they will add more as did their competition. Check it out before they go its a nice change to get out and see something different and it is located in the middle of the Sac and the Bay. This is a fantastic attraction for locals and tourists alike. visit this ship and get a behind-the-scenes tour, deep into the bowels of a world war war ship. And this is no ordinary worship. It's ultra-small and super powerful. The grandson of an LCS crew member and the grandfather himself will greet you at the ship's brow. You will visit everything from the pilothouse to the engine room. You will see crew bunk rooms and and the mess-hall / dining room. you'll even get to see their small combat information center. There they have some of the original radio equipment.

I'm not actually sure if I'd ever been to Suisun before Saturday, so naturally I wanted to explore a little. We followed signs to "Lawler House" and went in to see what it was. Lawler House Gallery had two rooms full of really wonderful art piecs. There were some paintings and photos, but mostly it was the most creative art pieces that captured my attention. A wire cat with a small canary sitting inside was cool, but a row of carved and painted gourds were the most amazing. I searched google when I was home and entertained myself for a while looking at "gourd art". The lady working the gallery was very friendly and informative. The goal of the house is to bring inspiration and education to the community, and she obviously was very passionate about this. She approached us and asked where we were from. She then went on to tell us about the artists (there are 30 of them in the gallery right now). She also said that the current art is part of a series called "Touching Wild, Touching Art". The proceeds of the sales will go to benefit the new Suisun Wildlife Rescue Center (like Lindsay Museum of the East Bay). A fundraising reception will be hosted at this gallery in September. As we left the house we walked through a courtyard with some welded sculptures. All of them were great. Tactile connections and the ability to interact with art is really cool. They offer picture taking around the holidays (by reservations ) and often will hand of cute treats for the kids, coloring pages, candy canes. Also during Halloween season it's another great time to come. Each year is something different and often they have a dj. My kids love this place and I see why. We make VnA Gingy house a must visit each and every year. Last year they had certain themed nights as well as holiday music and an ice cream truck. The owners really care about their community. Check them out on Facebook to keep up to date on their certain events. Oh and for the little ones who would like to drop off their letters to Santa, they have a lovely mailbox to send letters to the North Pole. I could go on and on about this place and how great it is. Definitely make this a place to check out during the holidays. Parking most times can be tough so keep that in mind, it's street parking.
