Waiter said it would take about 10 mintues. And it did. It seemed slow for a friday night but maybe it was still early. There were only two tables being used at the time. Could be a romantic private place. Got the food home and it was tasty. Not the best butter chicken I've had but pretty good and the rice was nice. The garlic naan was aaaaamazing. I love garlic and chewy bread. yumyumyum. excuse me. and all for about 8 pounds. Could have halved everything and had leftovers but I couldn't stop eating it. They have a little but fully stocked bar in the back thats more like the waiter's station but I think they serve basic cocktails.

The negative star and possibly more would be for the shitty young waitress we had Saturday that mostly scowled the entire time we were there that served us and others. Yet another one of her colleagues, an Eastern European girl, was very sweet. I got the plain dosas with chutneys and an idli order with chutneys and sambathar. My husband got the chicken kothu. The portions are pretty good for the cheap prices and we left feeling full. Also glad water is provided at the table. But that waitress my god. I would avoid returning just for her unpleasantness.

When I walked into this corner restaurant at 930pm a a Friday we were the only ones inside, and so a tad trepidatious. However there was nothing to worry about at all. Service was attentive and helpful, and every dish came out looking and tasting delicious. The tandoori prawns arrived at the table sizzling over a bed of perfectly cooked green peppers and onions. They went really fast! The curries (aloo and bhindi) were wonderful complements to the meal. The Naan and garlic rice, often just fillers, were delicious in their own right. I very much recommend Memsaab for your Indian night out!

A homey little hole in the wall that builds on the fact that you're in small-village suburbia, Panahar Tandoori is staffed with attentive and very friendly servers there to tend to any basic need. While the decor is a bit dated and seating more limited than otherwise, that's essentially what I look for when I'm outside the city. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Not unlike most other Indian spots in the country, PT is generous with regard to portions, and this is extrapolated if you're fortunate enough to stop by come lunch for the all you can eat buffet. For my dinner visit, 10GBP got me a generous portion of Chicken Tikka Masala with Pilaf Rice. Have a look: http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=1qS6Y_HCJcuyxtnWxnUqvw&userid=OKX-V5j_qfuOebeHeWGrHg Fair. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Very, very good. I've become more and more of a critic with Indian cuisine as I've frequented it more often, and this is certainly in the upper half of dishes that I've had. The chicken was flavorful with a nice, thick sauce that complemented the unique Pilaf Rice nicely. From there, excellent naan complimented the meal, and I was very pleased with the whole setup. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? To be honest, this is essentially your only option if you're craving Indian in or around Cobham, but it's good enough to where I'd come everyday given the craving. Star Granted.

Used to be mediocre but picking back up again. Friendly staff, very authentic, - cozy, dimmed atmosphere. Fun spotting celebrities every now and then. HIGHLY recommend the buttered chicken tikka masala or the chicken vindaloo (if you want to spice things up), with garlic naan and a large Kingfisher. Space is probably the biggest issue. Not very much leg room, a mission to get to the loo and one can always hear the old Irish couple's conversation on the other side of the restaurant. Service can be hit or miss and unfortunately the soda is always served flat. However, fantastic place to go for a Friday evening date or for the Sunday buffet with the family. ....mmmm.... papadoms....

Am thinking ideally 3.25 or 3.5 stars but not quite a four so giving it three. The service was a better experience in that when I requested some chutneys and salad it wasn't a problem whereas in the Heston Branch it's an issue although they have one very helpful charming member of the team there. The plain parathas were ok though a little unevenly cooked so finished them off under the grill at home, the stuffed aloo (potato) paratha could have done with a bit more filling. The bathura (fried bread) was the best of the breads and the makki ki roti (made with cornflower) the second best though this is more of an acquired taste. Would I visit again, yes I would.

In none technical terms, I had their lentils, cauliflower main, cottage cheese dish and some other sides such as the cheesy garlic naan and some samosas which were all very tasty. I really enjoyed the cottage cheese dish, love it! Unfortunately, I had visited a PanIndian restaurant two weeks before and it really raised the bar for me so I'll give Delhi Wala 4/5 stars. Nevertheless, I would go back as it is close to home, inexpensive and tasty.
