Very expensive and not all that great. I only go here if I need one thing quick. Save-on-Foods across the street is a better store.

Quality Foods - $9.99 for an awesome burger and soup (beef barley in this case) - both good!

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE Come for the food - like any of it -…read moreready-made or for take-home! :) === 2. FOOD Quality Foods is essentially a rebranded Save On Foods done well: - Clean, bright lighting. - More upscale features for different departments. - Seemingly more specials on groceries. - Big departure: hot food service and seating areas. So not only do I get the impression I would save on groceries more often than at a regular Save On Foods (is it the presentation style or larger number of discounts?) but hot food section makes it feel worthwhile to get a decent bite to eat in these tougher economic times. The $7.99 breakfast combo beats anything the fast food joints can offer; the $9.99 burger combo is a delight: - Thick beef patty. - Lettuce, tomato, condiments of your choice. - Soft bun every time, topped with a slice of pickle. - Comes with fries or choice of two soups. It's tough to visit the fast food joints on the way when the options here are arguably healthier and perhaps better value! === 3. SERVICE In general, it's decent here, but be advised that the Asian hot food section seems to have some challenges with staffing or processes: it always seems like a single individual is working there perhaps not as efficiently as they could and so there's always a line up that doesn't move very fast, especially around lunch times. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's a relatively (5-10 year old) establishment and so it's relatively clean and modern. Wheelchairs and baby strollers fit just fine everywhere. The shopping complex is relatively new also and offers plenty of parking.

However, on a recent visit a male staff from Produce repeatedly reached over me and bumped into my scooter as he fawned over an ablebodied customer in line. He acted as if I were an object. No "Excuse me," nothing. When I spoke up, he mansplained how he has the right to do this and, "I'm sorry YOU feel THAT way." I told him he was physically hurting me, besides being rude. He continued to abuse me. The Human Rights Tribunal confirmed I have grounds for a disability discrimination case. An assistive device is legally part of a disabled person's body. What this employee did was assault. As well, the payment terminals have been moved so they are too high for disabled people to reach from wheelchairs. Thanks, but I can pay more reasonable prices for organics at regular grocery stores, and get treated as if I am human. As I said, I went to WF mainly for customer service. Not to have my human rights violated.

Whole Paycheck, as it used to be called, is not that bad regarding pricing, and they often have…read moredeals, so I no longer call it by that name. However in the sandwich department, they have really fallen down recently. I used to buy lunch there often but stopped when their selection became smaller and much worse. Today I bought two sandwiches, both suffered from soggy bread and insufficient ingredients. One was an egg sandwich with barely a smear of egg, whereas not that long ago the egg used to burst out of the bread. No butter, no margarine, no nothing. WTF? And to make matters worse, wilty old lettuce. This is a disaster, a sandwich disaster. Cheaping out on egg? Egg is not expensive. Why? Cheaping out on hummus? Why? Hummus is also cheap to buy and cheaper to make. The other sandwich was made with hummus or was supposed to be. It was soggy, with the smallest amount of hummus possible. There were tomato slices but when pulled out they were old and wrinkly. I'm old and wrinkly too but don't want that added to my sandwich. So Whole Foods, if you are listening, I'm not buying sandwiches from you again and if you're wondering where your customers are going, try building a better one, like you used to do. ,

It made it easy for me to find exactly the spices I needed quickly. I couldn't believe I could get lard and molasses in bulk. I was thrilled. I got the exact amount I needed for my cookie recipe. No leftover boxes to store. There was everything you can imagine in bulk and more. Cookies, chocolate, nuts, flours, rice, beans, candy. I mean the list is endless. The ingredients I bought were fresh. The chocolate covered sponge toffee mix I got to snack on in the car sure was tasty. I'll be sure to get some more next visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. I couldn't believe the cashier new all the codes for everything I bought. She could actually tell the difference between the bag of icing sugar and the bag of cornstarch. That's impressive. It's a great place to shop and quite enjoyable checking out all the bins. They also offer packaged goods and lots of baking supplies. There is also a seniors day on Wednesdays.

This store has everything food you could ever want in bulk form, it's not just one big candy store. They have pet food, health food, cereals, spices, mixes for cakes, cookies and soups. One of the walls is covered in cake pans and candy and chocolate making supplies. You can get peanut butter, jams, teas and coffee here and of course a whole array of candy! The candy isle is really the best, and I can only imagine how fat I'd get if I worked here. Only annoyance with bulk food is when parents seem to play blind when their kids stick their grubby hands in the bins, but the store can't really control other people's kids, so this place still gets 5 stars from me.
