The service is awful. The previous times I went to The Man Shop the wait is horrendous and the time spent in the chair is far longer than normal. Plus the price to get a hair cut is far more expensive than any other shop I have gone to. What finally made me stop using The Man Shop was when I came in at 6:20 (which is a healthy 40 minutes until the shop closes) and there were two other people waiting. I walk over to put my name on the list and one of the ladys' who was working told me that they were accepting no more customers since it was close to closing. Including myself there were three people waiting with nearly an hour before closing time. It seems to me that The Man Shop is full of lazy people who just want to leave at the drop of a hat. I'm now left to scramble as I have to get on a flight to California at 7:30am tomorrow to represent my school and my hair is atrocious. The Man Shop has poor service and they lost a customer because of their laziness. read more

Mom's weekend. No signage about parking so when we pulled in to park for Zoe Coffee and Kitchen (awesome by the way) some dude popped out and whistled at us to get our attention, to tell us we couldn't park in his EMPTY parking lot (Again, no signage saying we were offenders). My boyfriend came in to get a very simple hair cut. He described it exactly how he wanted it and then showed a picture. The stylist ended up cutting off too much and more than she was supposed to. This isn't the first time I've seen or heard the exact same girl do the exact same thing. The hair will grow back, sure. But I wouldn't recommend a place that can't get it right the first time, multiple times, over the span of a couple years. Also, some of the stylists there were pretty unprofessional. read more

If you want a decent haircut then go here. If you want a pleasant experience I would suggest going elsewhere. The person cutting my hair acted as if I was wasting her time and acted irritated when I couldn't answer her questions about how I wanted my hair cut to her satisfaction. Despite all that she did a decent job. If she was a tad bit friendlier I would probably return but this will be my one and only visit. read more

I wish I could find someone there that I liked to cut my boyfriend hair but I have not had that experience yet. We just moved here in September and went in for the first time about 3 months ago, I'm the one that sent he boyfriend there to get a hair cut. It was horrible, she asked him if he wanted scissor cut or a buzz, he said scissor cut, and she did a buzz instead. So he tried again, he really didn't want to go but I said to find the owner because I've seen her cut hair and she does a great job, he didn't and came home with one of the worst haircuts yet...... I'm not sure if we are going to the wrong girl but this is a basic haircut and he has long pieces in the front, then chunks out of the sides, so horrible. read more

I have gone to this place twice first time I got my standard haircut and it looked fine. This most recent time stands out because my experience was so bad I won't return. The lady that cut my hair was rude and the most rough with the clippers I've ever had. I drove home for spring break and was told by multiple people that it was an awful haircut. When I got back I asked if they would just blend the edges but because it had been so long she said she would have to charge. Both interactions made me feel like the lady was very bitchy maybe abrupt or rude is more politically correct. I'll pay more for someone else to fix her bad haircut. read more

Stay far away from this place as possible. My friend went in and got a haircut and we thought he got mauled by a bear. There were chunks of hair that was not cut and lopsided sides. My blind grandma does a better job. We went in and asked for them to fix the haircut and they tried to charge for a new haircut. The woman who did the job even admitted she would "not specifically choose this style for herself or others." After some pushback she basically shaved him bald and we were told back that we would not be welcome for haircuts there anymore. Are you kidding I would not let anyone I know go there if they were the last barbershop in town. read more

The hair cut was fine (a little uneven), but the stylist was so rude I left as soon as I could.

Worst haircut I have ever gotten. I went in asking for a trim on the hairstyle I had just to clean it up. I came out with a completely different style and criticism from the stylist for not knowing how to describe the cut I wanted, as if it was my fault for not getting a good haircut. Before I could say anything, the stylist was shaving the sides of my head, later telling me that they are "trained to cut lines out of hair." The style I had, clearly had them. I even showed a picture of my last haircut, yet she kept cutting. This, ultimately followed by the generally unpleasant atmosphere and the constant use of the word "bitch" to describe customers and coworkers, left me angry and unsatisfied. The stylist ended the haircut with an ironic remark that they really know how to cut hair there... Clearly not. I know hair grows back, but I will most certainly never go back to that place. read more

I had the same rough service and curt attitude. It probably stems from the Manager who served me today. I also ended up with about 1/2 an inch shaved off above my ears. Two negative haircut comments within an hour when I got back to work. read more
