Glad this place exist. I was trying to find a dupe lipliner for one of the "prestigious" cosmetics brand and social media suggest a shade from The Makeup Shack. Arrived to cosmetic heaven. This little store may be small but there's so much inventory. One side was a HUGE wall of lash strips and the other side was full of different kinds of makeup brushes. The lighting is everything...think "Instagram lighting"...making your face flawless. Plenty of testers available and they were clean too. Also, the two females working on Saturday, Aug 10 were so helpful. Very conversational as well. I ended up getting my Makeup Shack brand lipliner in Nutty Brown. Also I was happy to see Italia brand because I use their eyeliner pencils to shape/fill in my brows. These pencils seem harder to come by nowadays. Didn't need anymore lipsticks but the female that was helping me had a lip color combo that looked so good I asked her what products she was using. She showed me the lipstick she used by Beauty Creations. Great prices too. All three items only came out to be about $14. Will def be back!! read more

I've been coming to the makeup shack for the last 6 years because they carry my favorite RCMA translucent powder, but I've had the same experience every single time. Employees always have a stank face and nasty attitude from the moment you walk in. For no reason. I get everyone has their days, but for it to be the same experience with different staff members they hire over the span of 6 years is disappointing and unprofessional. I saw this post blow up on Twitter, and made plans with my cousin to come here. I'm not very make up savvy, but I'm glad they have lots of options from low end to kind of high end make up brands. To start off with, I enjoyed the aesthetic of the place! So many lights! And so clean I know that it's new, so it's obviously going to be clean, but with as much foot traffic that comes through the door, the definitely keep everything nice and organized. And they also have a place to take selfies! Haha The workers were all super friendly and really helpful. My boyfriend showed me this place when he saw his friend post it on social media and I'm so entirely blessed he told me about it because I love everything that involves beauty and makeup! Today was my first time going to the store. Super easy to find and near different places for you to shop. I was expecting the store to be bigger but it was pretty moderate. Product wise; I was so impressed by what they had to in stock! You can find things that you'd usually see online or social media, so it was nice to have a store here in Vegas that has it in stock! It reminded me of the Morphe in Burbank, Ca to be honest, which is why I fell in love with it as soon as I walked in. Staff was super nice, they asked if I needed any assistance but of course, the makeup lover I am, I already knew what I was more interested in which was the lashes! And I have to say, I'm definitely going back for more because they carry super cute and great quality lashes for such a super affordable price. Love this place! I know it from the one in California. I'm so glad they opened one here. Everything is priced super good :) As you enter the store, it looks like a giant vanity room. Love lighted mirrors (I want one for home lol) and the staff are super nice and so helpful. I just wanna but everything! I had to get out of there before I spend so much hahaha. It was easy to find and upon entering we were immediately impressed and greeted, everything was so well organized! The ladies greeted us and Asked if we needed help we declined initially because we were looking at all the amazing products they had to offer, a few moments later we asked for help and they kindly proceeded to help us with my cousins make up concerns! One of my go to spots every month for lashes and I love this place! I loved how they were doing curbside while they could/ while it lasted it was just so convenient for me, I could place my order and pick it up right away or place my order as soon as I got there and get it right away it was perfect! I try not to browse in store cuz I know I'll buy too much stuff that I don't need to buy LOL, so I usually just stick to looking at the lashes and only the lashes LOL! They have such great selections on lashes and makeup too, I just wish you guys continued your curbside service as it was super easy for people on the go! I seriously love this store and am so happy they brought it to vegas! I'm familiar with them from socal, and it's about time they opened up something like this here in vegas. I've been doing makeup for at least 5 years and am a huge guru. I order things online often, so it's nice to be able to purchase quality brushes, lashes, brush cleaner, sponges, etc essentials that I continually buy without having to pay for shipping and wait. Everyone in store is friendly. Nicer and more willing to help than most women at Ulta and Sephora. Noticed how they kept the place dust free as well. I'm very happy to have this place open near me, and it's located in a good center too. They carry a lot of makeup you would usually find online. Lots of affordable makeup brands that are hidden gems in the makeup world. For example, LA girl..I don't have to go all over town finding which CVS/Walgreens/Kmart etc. carries most of their products or the specific one I'm looking for because they have an entire large stand dedicated to it and likely have their newest products. Again, it's not limited to LA girl. One higher end brand I noticed and was excited to see was Gerard Cosmetics, they have amazing lip products and the prices reflect their own. Great lash selection as well. Prices range from $8-$10. The fiber material was unclear on packaging and with the workers as well (except with the $1 human hair lashes). Some looked to be silk, some mink, some possibly mixed fiber. Some boxes would just state "handmade". I find this might be a concern for those who want cruelty free lashes because there is no such thing as "cruelty free MINK lashes" (there's no happy farm of free roaming minks groomed daily dedicated to providing you the softest lashes lol) Either way, plenty to choose from no matter what. Their makeup brushes all throughout the store seem very nice quality too but I did not purchase any. I actually went in there under the pretense that they sold Morphe brushes. I was told they don't carry them anymore, yet Morphe still appears on their business flyer they include in everyone's bag as one of the brands they carry. Bummer. The Location is alright.. My girl and I just happened to be on that side of town bc we were driving back to summerlin from the strip. Customer service was good and bad. Good bc the girls were helpful in some of the questions I asked.. They remained true and honest esp bc I was worried that a pair of lashes would poke straight out (i'm super picky about lashes) HOWEVER they could really work on sales techniques by remaining professional.. I had a DUO lash glue in my hand- a staple that had been in my makeup routine for over 8 years and never had an issue with it. One of the girls (hispanic with beautiful makeup skills) had no filter and was quick to say "Oh Duo suuuuuuucks." and all the associates laughed which i thought was immature and annoying ... (I didn't even asked for her opinion on it) ... They proceeded to try to tell me that the makeup shack brand is a better one and they said "we're not just saying that bc we work here" and continued hyping it up. I asked in confusion, "ok, but what's wrong with it.." (i asked bc i never had anything wrong with it?)... One of the girls answered, "It takes forever to dry, it doesn't stick, it makes my eyes water". In my head I'm thinking "ok.. that sounds like a you-problem." but instead i just said "ok well i don't have that issue" and the girls just said "oh ok" and dropped it. Just because she's had a bad experience with it doesn't mean everyone else experiences it the same way too. For example.. I've fallen asleep in my lashes, rolled around all over the bed even face down, and woke up with my lashes still glued on tight. Even when I tug on it it's latched on there good. I apply the black glue with the applicator on the lash and apply it right away within 15 sec and it dries right away.... and it definitely doesn't make my eyes water lol. Some people may be more sensitive than others so don't generalize the effects of a product bc YOU had a bad personal experience. It's awesome they're pushing to sell the makeup shack brand BUT that was an awful sales approach lol. I've been around sales associates in every job i've worked, been a sales associate myself, and currently operate my own personal training business where I STILL generate sales. #1 thing is you do not bash other competitor brands in order to maintain professionalism... And goodness- you absolutely do not try to prove a brand is awful because YOU had a bad personal experience with it.. Not offended- everyone has their own opinion but to give me a biased opinion based off personal experiences and using it as evidence that that is why the product sucks entirely is a no-go. And the fact i never even asked for kind of got on my nerves a bit. I'm sure the girls meant well but I could tell they were young and didn't have a filter.. I never intend to attack- just posting for constructive criticism Also, the brushes are alright. The moment I felt the bristles it didn't feel the same as morphe.. But only a super picky person like me who knows her brands would notice.. i'm sure they still work well though! read more

Right when I walk in to grab a basket the girl working looks at me and asks me to sanitize my hands. Then I proceed to shop and she follows me around the whole store, as if I'm going to steal something. This made me feel like I was highly discriminated against because I am a mixed girl, and a whole other group of people came in and she didn't tell them to sanitize once. I love this place I use to scrimmage for eye lashes all over the city ! I use to also drive to LA just for lashes! I'm so happy I found them I love my eye lashes and they have a killer deal on makeup brushes which I tried and there amazing !!! I started telling all my friends about this place ! The products are actually good, it's the people that run this store that makes this store disgusting. It's ran by a bunch 17 year olds with no experience whatsoever. There this guy that works there, kinda chubby looking, and was not paying attention the whole time he was ringing me up. The total was like 18 dollars and change. I told him I had the change because I didn't want a bunch of coins back but ofcourse he didn't hear me cuz he was gossiping with the other associates. He then gave me my change and told him I had exact change. He said "oh honey, I already put it in the computer". I was trying to explain to him that it's still the same amount whether I give him exact change or not. He literally did not know how to do the math. I finally said "do u not know how to do math?" And he yelled EXCUSE ME ?! he tried to get sassy with me, I finally told him it's fine and just give me my change back, but the whole time he was shaking and did not know what he was doing I felt bad for him after.
