Scot gave us a quick overview of what they do there and showed us some of the work that was in progress. This is such an awesome creative space and the artwork was just incredible. We bought a stoneware mug and small barn quilt to bring back to our home in Florida. They are open set hours on the weekends and by appointment Monday-Friday. When you walk in, you walk past a couple of jewelry booths. There were several cute earrings with prices between $10 and $20 that caught my eye. There is a path through the center of the space with studio space on either side dedicated to different local artisans who work in glass, wood, textiles, recycled materials, etc. Prices are good on the artwork. It's a fun place to stop and the prices on the artwork make this a good place to pick up a handmade gift.

So far, I've only seen that they do musicals but, since I prefer musicals in live theatre, I'm not complaining. It specializes in old time and bluegrass music and is located centrally in the adorable little mountain music town of Floyd, VA. The young man manning the store on the day I strolled in was very personable and knowledgeable, and (since I'm writing this post during the Covid-19 pandemic), I'll add that he was wearing his mask the entire time I shopped, (as was I). I've hardly shopped at all these past months but I was so charmed by this store, I decided to support them and stimulate the general economy. No crawling around on the ground trying to cut your own tree with dull cross blades. They will do it for you. No walking required. They will drive you. After you find your tree they come and cut it and bring you and your tree back. They have their work down to a science. We will go back every year. Look no further. You won't be disappointed. And I must add. The trees are the best looking we have ever had. You can tell they trim and take care of the farm throughout the year.
