In fact, upon…read moreentering the shop, I was so immediately attracted to the very many excellent and intriguing books, I missed the cafe entirely. (I have no doubt the cafe is excellent, as the reviews here confirm.) The sales staff was absolutely top-notch, and while the staff person was busy identifying several of the books by John Berger that were available, he and I had a nice conversation about Berger. As it turns out, London Review was involved in the publication of one of Berger's recent books, so of course they had it in stock. A truly superb bookshop, for new books, stocked with a highly discerning eye.

My friend Sharon brought me here and she is an avid reader. If you love interesting books, this is a treasure trove with books covering a whole multitude of subjects. We snagged one of the little tables and went for alternatives to the disappointingly absent carrot cake. We chose the intriguing courgette and lemon curd cake as well as the mixed berry cheesecake The courgette and lemon curd cake was great - a subtle hint of courgette so as not to be too vegetabley but lovely and moist with more dominant lemon flavour. The mixed berry cheesecake was nice but more conventional Sharon was intrigued enough to try and recreate the courgette cake at home, always a sign of a good dish. They might be nice when selling but who else have they nearly killed in getting to you. If you've had enough of lad/bad driving I suggest not using them. Also the driver is obviously challenged as why else would you do such bad driving whilst driving a van emblazoned with your company logo and telephone number.

They make a cracking hot chocolate for a very reasonable price especially considering it is in London! I have to get up early and have no time to make coffee by myself. But than I found espress organics at Finsbury Park on plattform 5/6 , where I am taking the train to Hatfield. I tried it and I was really surprised. It taste so good. Since that I have my soycappuccino each morning on my way to work. I am happy. :) And I am so grateful that I can enjoy good coffee each morning. Thank you guys from espress organics!

The shop is small and well laid out to make best use of its limited space. They have a small outdoor area but I've not been in it so can't say more than it exists. They do all the usual coffees with the various types of milks available. They offer vegan dishes along with vegan cakes. They market themselves as somewhere you can sit and work on their free WiFi, which is always good to know. How good the WiFi is I have no idea. I would say they are a little bit on the expensive side as it seems every piece of cake is £5! Or there about. They are friendly and service is genuinely quick and they do a loyalty card which is good given the price of everything!!

This may be one of my favourite bookshops in all of London. I know it's just a bookshop and a chain…read moreat that but hear me out on this one. 1. Staff - They staff are always extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was just there a few weeks ago and they had run out of the book I was looking for so I had to order it. The gentleman who helped me was fast, efficient and friendly. He talked to me about the author and the series I was reading with passion. Then he leapt from behind the counter with a spritely leprechaun-like prance, and rushed me across the shop to show me another book he thought I'd like. Have already ascertained that he knew his stuff when it cames to tomes, I trusted him and bought the book and its sequel on the spot. He was so enthusiastic about the characters that I had to get it. It was "Rivers of London" just in case anyone wants to pick it up. Great book! 2. Special guests - Ever since I discovered this shop I've noted the revolving door of special guest authors that stop in for book signings. Just in passing I've seen Martina Cole, Jeffery Deaver and Rick Stein. I only walk by once every other month or so, so imagine who I must have missed! They only seem to advertise these signing events with a little sandwich board outside so I know there's been more. Lucky for me I got a photo with a Bond car and a signed copy of Rick Stein's new book on Spanish recipes. 3. Size & Selection - This shop is over two floors and has a better selection for it. I usually am able to find what I need or can order it quickly if needs be. If I don't know what I want there are plenty of books to browse through or a friendly staffer to ask.

Besides travelguides and maps they also sell themed novels and photo books, and funny books. They have a small assortiment of travel needs like plugs. In the cellar you'll find some globes. Beautiful but expensive. The store has two floors. Don't forget the cellar which houses the travelguides and maps, in alphabetic order by continent.

Lonely Planet and DK EyeWitness are obviously all available, but they are just the tip of the iceberg among the selection available here. Other than the guides and maps, they have fiction and non-fiction from specific regions too and a sprinkling of cookbooks. Travel guides and travel accessories (toothbrush covers, walking sticks, waist pouches, games for kids to play when traveling - the range is vast) make up the bulk of the collections. Half the top floor is the frame-able maps and globes section. Very reasonable and loads to choose from. I also love their travel themed furniture - if only I could fit them into my pokey London apartment.... The staff is extremely helpful and not in the least bit pushy, so its always a pleasure to shop here. They often have a couple of discounts running and a few author signed copies. There are quite a few London themed souvenirs on offer that are much higher quality than the 2pound stuff available elsewhere. Its a great place to pop in for a respite or hunt for your next holiday trip. And there is a coffee shop - Sacred Cafe - on the premises if you want to give your feet a rest.

This branch of Starbucks is the newest location in the Wembley area of London, it is located next…read moreto the Novotel on Wembley Way. It is a stones throw away from the stadium. With queues going to Wembley Park Underground Station basically lasting for the length of Wembley Way, I decided to call in this Starbucks branch to avoid spending time waiting in line after watching my Manchester City defeat Chelsea 4-3 on penalties to lift the Carabao Cup. This store is a new store which opened since my last visit to Wembley in August, which you can obviously tell with the cool, modern Starbucks with bar-style seating at the glass entrance which I like and find quite cool, and it is a brilliant location for the stadium but it does tend to get busy when there is an event at Wembley Stadium/Arena, like everywhere nearby in the London Designer Outlet and hotels etc. Opening hours are often extended for the events, with the Carabao Cup Final finishing at when this store was due to close, they stayed open to 8:30 which was pretty handy. After the game the store was packed and it began to be obvious there isn't enough seating to cope on an events day, the store was a mess with people queuing to order, and get drinks but they did handle it quite well considering how large the queues were, but having a runner take orders while people were in the queue or perhaps extending mobile order and pay (it wasn't active at this location) would have been a lot better. I ordered a Venti Iced Vanilla Latte, it was slightly more expensive than other branches at £3.40 compared to £3.10, but this small surcharge was acceptable as the drink was still a reasonable price, and you're basically paying for the location especially on an event day. My beverage quality wasn't too great, I did have to ask for cream (they'd forgotten to put it on despite it being clearly written on the cup), after stirring it was okay although it could have done with a pump or so more vanilla syrup, but considering how busy the store was it wasn't a bad attempt at all. A nice modern Starbucks, and probably the better of the branches in the Wembley area, beating the branch in Cineworld of the London Designer Outlet by far, in a good and much-needed location, I feel it does warrant a three-star rating but due to issues with the order process and even collecting my drink (they didn't shout out name but the order hence causing confusion especially when already busy), issues with beverage quality and perhaps the small amount of tables do let the store down to mean it does not warrant anything higher than a slightly generous three-star rating.
