Looked at their site, happy with its what I saw, I reached out and got in touch with Danielle who helped me secure a table an hour before the 6:30 start. We loved the drive all the way up to the ranch house but once you entered the property the signage was sparse so nighttime navigating might be a challenge for those that don't have a good co-pilot like I've got. Walking up to the beautiful ranch house (beds donned in empty shotgun shell casings!) we were greeted and directed to the dining area by Cord. The atmosphere inside the dining room was warm and inviting, not too romantic as it is in fact a hunting lodge, but we felt comfortable in Carrie, Ashton and Chef Cruz's presence and the other patrons were distanced far enough away that convo remained private for the most part. I've included a pic of all 5 courses and all I'll say is that both the wife and I were extremely pleased with every course Chef Cruz prepared. We selected the steak over the salmon and we've got a new steak-favorite. Overall, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, the place is clean and def worth it. IMO if you're looking to impress lovers of the outdoors or just your lover, the quality of this place is like something you'd find in Dallas but it's right here - adjacent to the world famous Lake Fork! Y'all come out and support this fine family owned business, come shoot stuff or have a world class meal.

When my 17-year old son asked, "Dad, when are we going fishing again?", I decided that it was time…read moreto seek professional help. I have neither the gear, knowledge or skills to really catch fish...I can bait a hook, and that's about it. Through a series of friends' recommendations, I got the name of Justin Crawford on Lake Fork. I explained to him that my son and I were looking not just for a fishing trip, but an education as well. He was very understanding, and we made all the arrangements to meet the following weekend. I have never hired a fishing guide before...with that said, I found Justin to be one of the most courteous, respectful, energetic, knowledgeable and efficient young men I have met in quite a while. His boat and gear were in tip top shape, he already had water and ice in the cooler, and in a few short minutes he had us in the water, set up with the proper lures, and casting for bass. He was very personable as he helped us to understand the type of environment we were fishing in, where the fish would likely be found and how they would act, and why we were using the lures and casting the way we were. Over the next six hours, Justin proved that he knows his stuff. After fishing one area, he would take us across the lake to a different spot, set up a different lure, and teach us the new techniques we were to employ. We must have fished six different environments that morning, teaching us along the way, which was exactly what I had asked for. At all times, his demeanor was calm, enthusiastic, and positive...even when we would get HIS lures hung in the trees. And even while we fished, we carried on an animated conversation, both about fish and fishing, but also all manner of subjects...he was an absolute pleasure to talk to and learn about and from! I am a retired Air Force officer, pilot, and instructor...I consider myself a good judge of character, and a good teacher. In Justin Crawford, I found a young man of high ideals, an excellent work ethic, a true servant, a superb conversationalist, and a knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher. I can truly say that we arrived as strangers and departed as friends. If you need a friend to take you fishing, please contact Justin Crawford, and prepare to have an excellent time!

He's one of the most professional & engaging guides I've ever fished with and I can't wait till next time so that I can learn more from him and catch more of those big Lake Fork bass! I 110% recommend getting out on the water with Justin - don't let the lack of reviews make you hesitate - Justin HUSTLES for his customers and it shows in the results.
