The course has a full 18 holes with the standard water hazards and obstacles and all that jazz. The course is nautical themed, which is fitting since it's right on the pier. That's part of why I liked this course so much; it offers a great view of the water. I don't live by the lake, and I can tell you my girlfriend had to poke me more than once to go because I was looking at the water like the tourist that I am. One of the holes was closed because it was filled with water when we went. No big deal, but a bit of a pain. Through no fault of the business, our trip here was a bit irritating because there was a teenage couple behind us who was playing ridiculously quickly, but also wouldn't go in front of us, so it felt like they were watching us on our tail the whole time. I'd definitely come back here. It was reasonably priced and a really lovely way to finish off the evening.

The lifeguards are exceptional here. No question they receive top notch training and are kept in line by management. Never long lines for the slides. But the lazy river does get packed with people and kids who don't use tubes which causes an annoyance. Lifeguards have to periodically clear out the unused tubes. The park could use a paint refresh to hide rust but probably hard to keep up with it being wet and humid indoors.

Old log cabin vibes, you really feel like you're dining in the middle of the woods at a cabin up north. There's a large wood burning fireplace when you walk in that adds to the cozy ambiance. Lunch was not busy, so it felt a little dead and there was no music playing which was fine but just kind of quiet when we were put in a back room alone. I did get the feeling that it's obvious who's members and who's not at the treatment you might get. For being so quiet, service was really slow but luckily we were in no rush. We split their wild rice and mushroom soup, a pheasant blt and elk tenderloin sandwich. Everything was really tasty, the meat was done well. You didn't get an option for your side and they just served everything with a very mayo-forward pasta salad that I did not find appetizing. Overall, a super neat and unique experience.

Certainly a bucket list experience that's worth it if you're so inclined to play a PGA Major golf course.

It was sunny for the front nine but hovering in mid 40s at best most of the day. Hard to swing when you have 4 layers on! That said, the course was in beautiful shape, even despite three days of rain before we got there. We were restricted to cart path only so it required a lot of walking I struggled because the fairways were so well cut they were like greens and the greens were even shorter and faster. Great for most golfers but not what I was used to. There was a nice mix of sand, water, and rough. The sand traps can be quite deep. You can walk the course but there are a few hills and distance between holes at times. I loved the fall colors of the leaves surrounding us. The course was less than 5100 yards from the forward tees so not super long but it was hard. Several blind shots. Greens on hills (we were referring to one hole as the volcano). I did manage a birdie on #7 so I was happy about that.

All the instructors (especially Jessica, Jen, Brenna, Mandy, Miranda, Sue & Addy) are just phenomenal to work with and incredibly personable with their classes/groups. The class offerings are tailored so persons of any skill level can participate at your own ability. I only wish I would have recognized sooner the value of physical fitness and all the Y could provide. The facilities are well maintained and the hours are accommodating to just about any ones schedule.
