They seem to offer a bit of everything - dance, music, plays, poetry, talks There is also an attractive garden area which is lovely to sit in on a summer evening. I have been to adult education classes at the Brewery and can recommend them. It is quite amazing that they have all these facilities and I feel fortunate to be able to use them. The cafes seem good and I have enjoyed going to the cinema although I don't live near enough to go very often. Places like the Brewery make a big difference to a town, providing an extra vibrant layer of cultural opportunities and I hope it continues to thrive. There is even a Youth Hostel on the site - could be handy if I ever miss the last bus home.

The pub itself has a wonderfully rustic and cozy atmosphere, full of charm and character which is no surprise considering it dates back to the 1600s. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel like you're in a quaint, little, English town pub. If you ever find yourself in Kendal, I'd absolutely recommend stopping in at The Fleece Inn for a drink and if you're hungry, definitely stay for dinner too.
