But Here at Guardian Angels, she is doing wonderfully. The home is beautiful and clean. Moms room is lovely and spacious, with views of the courtyard and flower gardens. The food is delicious and plentiful. And served in a family style dining room. Mom had been so afraid and miserable at the other facility, BUT at Guardian Angels, she is happy. She smiles all of the time. She is clean and well cared for. I no longer have to lay awake at night worrying about her safety and wellbeing. She is not just surviving, SHE IS THRIVING. As a former caregiver for many years, I felt right at home when I walked down the steps and into the office to meet the friendly faces of my former employers J and J who looked beyond my conditions and saw complete potential in becoming part of their team of caring and compassionate caregivers. For the first time in a few years, I knew I found the place where I was needed and belonged. Having secure employment there was an extreme boost to my morale along with a generous pay check after going in day in and day out in helping improve the quality of life for the residents in the facility. The smiles of both my colleagues and residents every time I went through the door with my mask for safety, made it all worthwhile to keep going to not just work, but to a place where my skills as a caregiver were put into good use along with improving the quality of life of those who lived there. I returned in February 2018 and I was amazed that the building was even better than I remembered! The entire facility had been upgraded, we still had most of the amazing staff that was there from 2009 and I had the privilege of meeting and working with new employees. We have such an amazing team, nursing staff who truly care for residents like they were family, and a phenomenal rehab team that will make a huge difference in your recovery! When you place your family at a skilled nursing home, whether it be for rehab or for long term care, you should feel like home when you walk in the building. You should see a clean facility with content residents. You should be greeted at the front door with staff who help you with any concerns. I know there are negative reviews out there, but from your first step in to the building you will see the difference. We aren't perfect, but we do learn from our mistakes and we educate to make sure that our residents have the best care possible. The best feeling is when we get to see our residents successfully graduate from our program and walk out of the doors! Life Care Center of Coeur d'Alene is a great place to stay, a great place to work, and I welcome everyone to come tour and see the difference!

My aunt liked the facilities; so we sold mom's home and gave away dog to move her into Northstar, Coeur d Alene (Owned by Stellar Living out of Utah) Mom was there less than 1 week and I was getting calls from Tambra and Melanine, saying "we need to evict your Mom because she isn't a good fit for fit for independent living and we don't have assisted living available". I reminded Melanie and Tambra that they assessed her as such. Melanie said, "Well, I'm not a nurse". They evicted her but kept the rent and sole the $2500 deposit. They merely said we keep all deposits to cover administrative expenses. UNREAL !!!
