I reached out to over 15 DJs in the local area, and was very disheartened by the overwhelmingly unprofessional responses I received from the vast majority of the local DJs. I reached out with an email describing our event, which was 40's themed, and would be entertaining multiple high-ranking military members. Maybe it's just that I'm used to interacting with other military members every day, but I fully expected to hear professional, well-written responses from most of those to whom I reached out. Instead, the overwhelming majority of individuals responded with a tone that seemed both unprofessional and lazy. When I saw Brett's response, it was an absolute breath of fresh air. Not only were they similarly priced to the other local DJs, but they also offered a higher quality setup, such as a disco ball and bubble machines. To top it off, they provided a generous military discount for our event! Going with them was a no-brainer. During the pre-event consultation, when they learned that we would have two emcees instead of one, they went out of their way to acquire a second wireless microphone, so both of us would be able to speak wirelessly and have freedom to move about the venue. They came prepared with a backup wireless mic as well, so when one struggled with interference, they came ready to swap out for us when it wouldn't interrupt the flow of the event. Additionally, as our event was 40's themed, they came not only prepared with an outstanding, appropriately themed playlist, but they also came dressed in matching attire! Let me reiterate: From the time we made first contact, until the time the event concluded, Brett and Paige were phenomenal. They're absolutely top-tier in the quality they provide, and were literally hundreds of dollars cheaper than other local DJs whose levels of professionalism were disappointingly subpar. I absolutely recommend you choose them, and I know I will be a repeat customer for any future events I'm involved in.

I hired William to DJ for our corporate employee appreciation event and The Party DJ was EXCELLENT…read more William was professional and communicative. When I first booked him we had a conversation about what kind of music would be of interest, then he sent over some sample playlists that I could review ahead of time. He was very open to feedback and listened to my concerns and needs. On the day of William arrived early to set up and was ready to go before the time we agreed on. He was very good at reading the room and kept the spirits high despite a somewhat difficult crowd. He was great thinking on his feet when we wanted to mix the music up a bit as well. I would recommend William for any DJing event, and would very much hire him again. Thanks for an excellent event!

We are very happy that we went with DJ Ray for our wedding. All other DJ's that we looked at in the…read moregreater Seattle Area were at least twice as expensive. Ray is very well organized and his communication is fast, like within an hour or two of emailing him. Our wedding reception was indoors at the Tacoma Museum of Glass and he provided music for the dinner and reception along with dance lighting to make for a great ambiance. DJ Ray will ask you what songs you would like to hear and when. For instance, we provided him a list of songs that we wanted to hear at dinner and during the reception. We didn't have enough songs to fill the entire evening, so he filled in the gaps with plenty of songs that fit the genre and mood. He even was able to obtain our first dance song, which wasn't originally available on his list on his website. He is very good at reading the vibe in the room transitioning from one song to the next. He provided wireless mics for toasts and some MC services as we transitioned between dinner, speeches, and dancing. If you are looking for a DJ that can play the songs you want to hear, fill in the gaps with music that is appropriate for your evening, then I highly recommend DJ Ray. He was extremely easy to work with and very helpful in providing some tips for our wedding day. Very simple and straight forward. I will definitely keep DJ Ray in mind should I need DJ services again in the future.

My brother-in-law is a musician, so I needed someone high-caliber who could play a variety of genres in addition to being a jazz improviser-- a tall order. But Obe delivered, and then some! Everyone was blown away by Obe's music; it was so good that my brother-in-law pulled out his flute (which he hadn't played for months), a doctor came in to play the xylophone, a nurse brought in her maracas, and they had a jam session right there in the hospital room! People were coming from other parts of the hospital and standing in the hall, just to hear the steel drums. Obe is not only an incredible musician, he's a consummate professional. I live across the country and found him online, so it was a real leap of faith to book him. But he showed up early, stayed the whole time, and all of our business dealings were handled with ease. My sister called me raving about the magic of Obe's music and how it had energized my brother-in-law. It was incredible to hear joy in their voices in the midst of a difficult diagnosis. If he can create a fun and happy atmosphere on such a tragic day, he is a true miracle-worker. I definitely recommend hiring Obe for any event!
