The course is beautiful, minus the sand traps on the green, and the obvious murk that will haunt your wayward balls. If you're looking for a good Groupon that will try your game, this is your spot. If you're looking for a challenging course but don't have the Groupon, spend your money elsewhere. To give you a reference, kids, and at a minimum 3 of them, were driving around the course while were attempting to hit on 3 holes. The greens, beautiful, but god bless you if you miss them. In a long shot, I'll certainly be back because of the difficulty and how close it is to the cities. But I'll never expect it to be 5/5 given the amount repairs that have have never been fixed, that there is a sand trap on a green.

We danced all night! I had more people than I can count come tell me how beautiful the venue was and how much fun they had. We also got the chance to play the course! The Refuge holds a special place in our hearts and anyone looking for a venue should give this place serious thought.

I lost more golf balls playing here than I should probably ever admit. The greens are large and challenging, the views are breathtaking. A couple of the holes you tee off from a platform that was built it a bog. Many of the holes you have to dodge ponds and woods so thick you'll never get your ball back. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were well kept. There is a river that hugs a couple of holes to make it interesting. Other than one or two blind holes, as a first time player, the course was easy to understand where to hit. It was a challenging course. I enjoyed the variety or the holes. Staff was welcoming. The club house was able to accommodate our large group in the downstairs area. I am looking forward to come back and play my own ball.

If you want a bit of fun, don't forget to get some Pulltabs or take kids over to bowl and play arcade games. Our sports teams have held many of our team get togethers here and kids always have a great time and they make it easy to order for a large group. You can order food and drinks from staff upstairs during an event if an option. It also leads out to a gorgeous deck space and when it is sunny and beautiful outside, it's where I want to be!
