What's prettier than the White House, the Monument, the Lincoln Memorial and the Smithsonian put…read moretogether? Yes, Ariana Grande is a good answer, but I was looking for the Executive Office on 17th St! A long time ago, the love of my life used to say that this building was the highlight of her trips to DC, and I can see why. I remember walking with her in the pouring rain next to it, and taking pictures of her exposing herself in front of it. Times change... But this building never did. It's glorious and resplendent. It reminds me of something in France, but better kept, perhaps. It looks palatial. If the White House is a little underwhelming then this executive office is completely awe-inspiring. It's level with the Capitol as my favourite building in the DC area, and is the easiest 5-star rating I've given since my Cousin Daniel got drunk and showed me the ropes.

Didn't really have a lot of time to roam around Pennsylvania Ave. And my friend and I, being…read moreslightly less than ignorant didn't know that the BACK of the WHITE HOUSE would be on Pennsylvania Ave. ** Not impressed** So our pictures we're not exactly anythng to brag about. So we decided to take pictures in front of the Executive Office of the President where the FRONT of this architecture was much more impressive than the BACK of the White House on Pennsylvania Ave. Still a great experience to roam DC and take in the history and political side of the US. (You don't get much of that or appreciate it as much coming from the west coast. Hence, the ignorance of the FRONT vs the BACK of the WHITE HOUSE. =X)

Hey yall, Stop…read moresecurity all around the premises lol then I noticed a sign, people who have an appointment get inside the gates, yes gates surrounding the White House now from so far away! They not playing these days! Can't trust people. People ruined the experience of going up on the White House doors for everyone. Well at least that's what I assumed about the gates being there, not just from construction. I've seen some people months ago taking pics at the actual White House inside so idk maybe it's invite only, but they do have a people's White House nearby and I'm curious to check that out! Anyways lots of tourist here and tours stopping by and I felt good stopping by paying my respects and it's nice to imagine the president living here and or people staying at the top bouie hotels all around the areas! Got a feel for the area and the people which were a lot of white women today running around the areas! I was surprised at how many white people were actually in this very area! It's just a color not a race thing for me but none the less very interesting place to visit!

White House When I…read morewas a young man the first time I laid eyes on the White House, you could walk right up and slip your hand through the iron gates. No towering barricades, just a quiet moment with history. I remember taking the tour, wandering those rooms where presidents once paced and pondered. They tell you not to touch anything... but I'll admit, I brushed the curtains, felt the walls, and thought, my goodness, this is the very house where history calls. The grounds are trimmed like a king's garden, the view wide and grand, and the feeling you get standing there is hard to explain it's not just a house of stone and beams, it's the heart of a nation stitched together with dreams. Built beginning in 1792 and first lived in by President John Adams in 1800, the house has seen its share of fire and repair even burned by the British in 1814 before being rebuilt and standing proud again by 1817. Later, the inside was rebuilt again in the late 1940s when the old bones needed strengthening, proving this old house can bend but never break. And when you stand there today, gazing across the lawn so wide and free, it rhymes in your heart like a piece of history: not just a place to roam, but America's home. Touch the gates, take in the sight past and present shining bright and you'll feel it too, that patriotic spark... a little piece of the nation stamped forever on your heart.
