As a first time mom I'm always asking for recommendations in my local community groups. I've tried…read morenumerous hair salons & stylists for my son, and never really LOVED the haircuts he's received. He's a toddler, so it's also hard to find a great fit where he's comfortable with the stylist & enviroment. After posting in my local FB group, a ton of people recommended Classic Barber Shop. I was hoping this would be a great shop to check out after all of the great reviews. Making an appointment on their website was quick and easy; I didn't have to make an account or log into anything. Their website gave me the option to pick a specific barber or select a timeframe and they placed me with a barber that was available. They have so many hours throughout the day available and are only closed 2 days during the week. They have HUGE TV's in the shop, nicely kept leather barber chairs and large spacing between each station. When we got to the shop, the first thing that I noticed immediately was how clean and well kept it was inside. I've been to some really grimy hair salons and it's the first thing I look at when I go to salons now. I feel like if you can't take the time to clean up your shop that's in clear view, then your tools are probably even worse. We didn't have to wait to go back to be seated; Joey was my son's barber and I'm SO happy he was the one that was assigned to us. He was absolutely phenomenal with my son. He would show each tool to my son before using it on his hair & explain what he was about to do, so as not to scare him. Joey also used my son's name directly with him, which I really appreciated. It felt like the visit was more personal and made my son feel special. My son was laughing, smiling and having fun the entire visit. I know it was absolutely because of Joey's personality and kindness and I'm so grateful that we found our new spot! Whether you're an adult looking for a beard trim, a fresh fade or just a clean up or if you're a mom like me who has been struggling for years to find a spot for your little dude, this is the place to hit up!
