I don't give 5 star reviews very often, but this business deserves it!…read more Kalona Vet Center discontinued their on-site grooming with little-no notice last month, so I had to find my pom-chi a new one. I'm VERY protective of my furbabies, so no random one would do. Researching multiple ones, I decided to give Fur-iendly Grooming a try. They were so nice on the phone and had a cancelation the very next day that we grabbed up. They only had my little one for about two hours and had her looking AMAZING! Her previous groomer had her anywhere from 7-11 hours and never completed her legs or face. They also said my pup was sweet, gave kisses and wanted to be picked up during bath time - only thing she fought on was her nails. I'm definitely keeping Fur-iendly Grooming as my pets fur-care!

The best. Karin is wonderful. I stumbled upon her and her grooming business via the NextDoor app…read moreeven before we rescued our pup. We rescued our dog just a few days ago and he was in desperate need of a groom. Nervous, I told her ahead of time that I didn't know what to expect as far as his temperament. When we walked in for our appointment, Benji immediately wagged his tail and wanted Karin's attention. Obviously he could tell she's an animal lover. Based on his initial reaction to her I was a little more at ease. He did very well for his first visit! We made another appointment for a few weeks from now so that Benji can (at minimum) get another bath. Very nice grooming facility on Karin's property. You aren't going to see a bunch of dogs in cages, waiting their turn. I appreciate this a lot because our pup is still extremely nervous, especially loud noises and sudden movements. As a new client, Karin was able to get us scheduled very quickly. I did have flexibility in my schedule, so this helped. Automated text reminders and you can schedule services online. I highly recommend Fur-iendly, but more importantly, Benji does.

(A review I posted episode elsewhere and forgot to post on Yelp)…read more Ms. Cloudy had her visit here in February, and we are so impressed! We were able to get her in pretty quickly (just a few days after making the appointment), and her pricing is very reasonable. She got down to Cloudy's level, introducing herself and treated her as precious as I do. Understood our concerns about health and previous grooming experiences, and calmly reassured us. Didn't make me feel rushed in dropping Cloudy off or picking her up. Lastly, but still importantly, my pup looks AMAZING! And she was quite relaxed and happy when we arrived, not wanting to bolt out of there as soon as possible. DEFINITELY recommend this grooming salon!

I would recommend this groomer to anyone nervous about looking for a safe place to bring their furry friend.

Both by phone and in person, the groomers were friendly and professional. They took the time to review and discuss photos of the look we were going for, and did so with enough ease to make me feel confident in the eventual result. They finished in a reasonable 2 hours and we picked up two beautifully trimmed, comfortable and happy (aka not traumatized) doggos. After a couple hours at home, we received a call saying they had forgotten to put the dogs' collars back on. We hadn't noticed because they had been replaced with unicorn bandanas They offered to mail them back to us; however, in the meantime, we had decided we'd love their look even more if their faces were trimmed a bit shorter. The groomers graciously agreed to the touch up, so we took them back and came home with the collars and the two cutest furbabies you ever did see
