I stayed here while I was in the area for a wedding. The couple who was getting married actually arranged the room, so I had no idea what to expect. I was really pleasantly surprised at what an amazing spot it was. It kind of felt like I was just a guest in the home of Dot and David, the owners. They made me a couple amazing breakfasts, and were very accommodating. For example, they happily washed a shirt for me to wear to the wedding that had gotten dirty while in transit. Also, they have an amazing little private pond right below their house, and I went for a swim their one morning, which was great. This is an great little spot to stay. I know that one of their main things is that it's a spot to test out recumbent bikes. However, as someone who went their and didn't even ride a bike, I can fully recommend this as a great little spot just for someone looking for a nice b&b. read more

Great accommodations and very friendly and flexible hosts. Dot and David are truly nice people. We stayed on the top floor, where two attractive rooms share a bathroom (which only has a shower, no bath, in case that matters to you). The Walloomsac Room has a memory foam bed, which was very, very comfortable. The Hoosik room is an obnoxious shade of yellow, but it seems to be the only room with a bathtub. The other rooms looked very nice. If you are attending a wedding at the Nipmoose Barns, this is by far the closest place to stay. The Barns are about a 12 minute drive directly south. Their site says that cell phone reception is very spotty, but I have an AT&T iPhone and I had great reception. Also, the phone navigation worked perfectly to get us back and forth between the Albany airport, the wedding site, and Nipmoose Barns. We didn't have time to ride bikes here or even take a walk, a real shame as it looked lovely. read more

What a great spot! Secluded and beautiful with attentive hosts and the added feature of trails in the woods to try out an insane variety of recumbent bicycles. The rooms are clean and cozy and the food goes beyond expectations. I felt immediately at home here, as if visiting old friends. read more
