The Lace Shop is definitely the best place to go if you are after anything to do with lace. The walls are covered in it, the tables are doily adorned and the shelves are shrouded in the delicate folds of it.
Specialising in Victorian Drapery the shop is quite small but curves around in a bizarre shape to encompass three small rooms. There is quite a large variety of products on offer besides the lace which was exciting for me as I don't tend to go to lace shops particularly often.
I found some gorgeous pillows, decorated with lace of course, as well as some lace nightgowns hanging in the third room. Three very steep steps leading down to this room, which has about two metres of space to move around in. I didn't bother going down the stairs as I could see everything quite clearly from the steps. Lazy I know.
My favourite item in the store was a heart shaped magnet board, which I saw in the shop window outside. It was only $27.85 and was gorgeous.
The Lace Shop is open seven days a week from 11-5. Nice and simple. read more
